came back negative. You mentioned the first one has a high rate of false negatives but how is it in conjunction with the 2nd test?? Do I need to call the DR back and start firing off alot more questions??? Or should I accept this as correct? Thanks,Korrie

I have read about how to interpret this specific group of tests

o Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgA
o Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG
o Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA
o Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG)
o Total Serum IgA
(These are the same ones I posted in the other thread)

Do you know exactly what the results were ? besides 'negative' ? Did they give you any #'s or normal ranges ?
Maybe you could ask them to email/send you a copy of the results, and then ask questions from there ? Or at least give you the actual numbers over the phone ?

Do you have to wait until your next appt to ask any questions ? How is the clean out going ?
You might want to try www.celiac.com on the message board, and post your questions there ? I am an 'expert' in identifying who should be tested and in following the gluten free diet and pretty much all the major and minor GI problems you could name. I am not considered an expert (even by me ) in interpreting the less comprehensive blood tests KWIM ?

All the woman told me was "negative" on both tests for both girls.
I tried to ask her questions but she just got all mute, like I had stumped her.....I will call them back tomorrow and ask them to send me the actual test results. The Girls have a follow up in 2 months but I don't want to wait that long.
Abby has been trying to defeat me in taking her fair share of laxatives-somehow her 2 yr old brother keeps ending up with her drink... But she got hers today and has started to empty out! Robin has been taking hers and her tummy is feeling better-unfortunetly,every time she poops,she gets caught off guard! She tells me "I'm pee-peeing in my underwear." Uh,no, that's poop and it's liquid.... the washer is on overdrive this week...

Did you get any more details on the actual test results ? Did the GI dr say what the cause of the constipation could be ? The info on how long it took the star/toy (?) to pass is probably relevant and should have been addressed probably (in my expert opinion ) was it ?

No not yet. I am going to have to call them on Monday. It's been crazy around here. I talked to the DR about Abby taking a month to pass the star-it was the first thing he asked about when we went to see him. LOL! I didn't think he'd remember but Abby has a way of making herself known.....
Monday a neighbor is taking all of my children (plus her own 3) from 9-1 so I can have some sanity time. I need to go try and enroll the Girls in pre-k thru the school district then call the GI Dr. Maybe I can even catch a nap that day! LOL! Now there's a dream...
