#3862, "looking for a comprehensive support site for SN....(Tri..."

Hi ladies~

I don't often post at the TC bcs my trio are heavenly angels, but I've always found the site to be a great support while I was pg, after my babies died and whenever I have issues regarding my 2 living children, so I'm hoping you can help me.

A very dear friend of mine had twins born at 24W5D. They are almost 3 years old now and her DD is doing great-slight delays verbally, but for the most part, she's on par with most things. Her DS is having a lot of medical issues and delays. He had a level III brain bleed at birth, had a shunt placed, had a lot of problems and still does. She is trying to navigate the IEP process and deal with all his medical issues and she's overwhellmed.

Does anyone know of a support site that she could post on that might help her work through some of these issues? She's very open to finding some place private where she can go to share her feelings, gather info and just "meet" people who understand.

Any advice would be helpful.
Thank you so much!

I'm going to assume that he has cerebral palsy based on your post. So I'm going to suggest http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/OurCPKids/

I actually started the group back in 2003 - it currently has over 1000 members. Lots and lots of support and plenty of parents who have "been there, done that". Tell her to come join us!
