we are home- got home just before lunch. Thank you to everyone who said prayers for him. We had to be there by 6 am and I left 60 minutes early to allow for traffic- there was none! LOL! So ,we got there at 5:30am. As soon as we walked in,I saw the name "Hope Chapel" and we went in and said some prayers for Henry's surgery and for the DR's to be skilled and successful. They took him a bit after 7:30 and at 8:45, they came and got me to go back to recovery. Henry was crying and yelling for me. He was VERY crabby for about 30 minutes then thankfully, fell asleep in my arms and dozed on and off for about 60-90 minutes. Once he was awake enough to drink,I tried to give him a cup with water and apple juice! My little boy, who was weaned 4 MONTHS ago, was very aggressive in letting me know he wanted to nurse..... LOL! That wasn't happening! I told him "Henry's Slurp & Burp" went out of business-quite possibly for good.... He's home now and trying to nap again but Big Sister is having a tantrum...Henry scarfed down a huge lunch and he's quite content now.
Thanks again to everyone who kept him in their prayers.

Glad Henry's doing so well. I didn't see the original post about him having surgery, but I sure am glad that it went smooth.
As for the 'Henry's Slurp and Burp'... LOLLOL Too cute. I guess he thought after going through all of that he deserved a delicious milk shake! You amaze me with all that you do with your children alone. I have a wonderful dh and I think you could run rings around us! Reading between the lines here, I'm guessing that now you have dressing changes, medications, etc. I'll say a prayer for YOU tonight.

I'm so glad to hear all went well! I wish one of mine would decide to try the nursing thing again! I'm glad you're home and Henry's happy!

i'm glad to hear it went well! how does his eye look now? my son is having surgery in september or oct. for duane's syndrome in his left eye. i'm a wreck about it. anyway, i just wondered what the recovery process is like with those little eyes.
