We are working with the school for the blind and they also have Birth to Three that comes out and works with both girls my sighted one too. Im just so overwhelemd and nervous etc.

My DD Robin had ROP-stage 3 in the NICU and had to have laser surgery. She was very lucky that the DR decided to check her at 29 weeks. If we waited until the following week ( when he usually does it) she would have had her retinas detach also. She is almost 10 yrs old now and wears glasses. her vision is 20/70 in one eye and 20/80 in the other. She's had the glasses since her first birthday.

Our situation is a little different but you are on the right track with the interventions. It's overwhelming at first but it will get easier. Can the school put you in touch with other families in your situation? It can be a HUGE relief to meet others who have already been thru it and to see that it DOES get better.
Hang in there! hugs and prayers for you and your family!

Yea i suppose i could ask her vision teacher if she could either pass my info along or ask other families if its ok to put us in touch - its hard - something you take for granted with a sighted child - its WAYYYYY different with a child with VI.
