Do any of you moms of special needs kids have your own chronic illnesses to contend with ? I have CVID- common variable immune deficiency- and get IV immunoglobulin infusions every 3 weeks (along with Braden who also gets them) , several autoimmune diseases that cause a lot of issues, HHT - hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, and all my drs call me very complicated- something I HATE hearing them say.. and now need a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow for strongly suspected lymphoma.
It can be pretty overwhelming dealing with so many issues with my kids my husband and myself.

mine's not as bad but I can relate I have type 1 diabetes and some other auto-imunne dieses to contend with along with two sons that have multiple problems, Valentino has short gut because of necrotizing endocolitis and Zaelin has cp and hydrocephlas. My house looks more like a hospital then a home and I feel like my second home is the hospital. I know how ocerwhelming it can be. Your not alone. Stick in there I hope everything goes well on your biopsy.

Thanks for your response. I'm sorry you have so much to contend with as well. I can relate to your home looking like a hospital ! especially when my kids were younger. My son Braden has short gut from NEC as well. He lost @ 85 % of his small intestines including his entire ileum and ileocecal valve so his short gut is quite severe but we are quite fortunate in that he has done 'better than anyone on the planet' with his degree of short gut according to his docs. Are you a member of the yahoo groups for those with short gut ? I know I sent another TC member to the group a while ago. Please let me know if there is any info on short gut that I can help with or if you would like to join the yahoo group- great group of moms and dads and adults with short gut too.
