Does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do for sitting Julia when we go out to a restaurant? She can't sit up on her own, so the regular little wooden high chairs they give you would be worthless. Some places do have high back chairs, which is easier for her, but not always great. I've gone out with her once and held her, but it was quite awkward, heavy, and not really a great way to enjoy dinner! The only option I can think of at the moment is to bring along the infant car seat; she's transitioned into a convertible for car use, but could fit in it fine for these purposes. But that doesn't seem like such an awesome plan either.

One of my daughters has Down syndrome, so the low tone has been an issue for us. Until very recently I just rolled a single stroller up to the table and fed her in the stroller. I didn't like that she wasn't at the table with the rest of us, but I couldn't find a better solution as the restaurant highchairs weren't supportive enough.

She is able to sit in the wooden seats now, but every now and then she still has a bad day and I go back to the stroller solution again.

Hmm, that might work. I suppose we'd just need to ask for a table so Gabrielle can fit in on the other side. I don't quite trust her in a booster seat just yet! She'd probably try to climb out and slide out to the floor.

My son has Cp and we had the same problem I found a Eddie Bauer high back high chair that straps to the chair it keeps them safe and is easy to carry into a restraurants. I got the chair at babies r us.

We did the infant seats for awhile and then the stroller. The chairs that attaches to the table with the back is a good option.

We actually figured out that for now, we can bring along her space saver high chair, which attaches to a regular chair. We keep trying to test it, but every time we decide to go out to eat she decides to be in a bad mood and we don't want to be "those" people with the screaming kid!
