#4469, "CPSE Meeting & Head Start Application process"

Hi all,

We recently have our boys' CPSE meeting to determine services for special preschool programs. The result was what we wanted--all 3 boys have been recommended for the Integrated Head Start program which they would attend at 3 1/2 with speech therapy 5 days per week.

One question I have is, they had me sign a form regarding how many hours per week the boys are in day care and said that our day care is considered a regular program--not a special education program; just a 'regular' program and that they are required to document where they are currently receiving services. They said this was for data purposes, but should I be concerned at all about it? They did say it would be in all of their IEP's that they are recommending Integrated Head Start.

I have my application meeting for Head Start next week and she said to bring income documentation. What's next? I am a little lost and not sure what to expect at the Head Start meeting.

Thanks,

Jennifer
