#674, "Camp for chronically ill and physically challenged"

Camp Cavett provides the experience of camping free of charge to chronically ill and physically challenged children, ages 10 to 18. They take 150 children living with cancer, hemophilia, cystic fibrosis, sickle cell, diabetes, spina bifida, GI and other chronic diseases. It was started in 1997. They have a pediatric nurse for each cabin. The camp is held at Cross Point Camp near Kingston, OK at Lake Texoma. It is free to the patient and they may bring a friend or sibling if they are new to the camp.
Activities-fishing, rope course, fun park, paint ball, swimming, arts and crafts, arrowhead making, ice cream social, makeovers, game shows, and dance.
