#1026, "Carseats and Configs that work in Yukon XL with 2nd row..."

I need some btdt experience, please.

I have a 2008 Yukon XL, with a second row bench (60/40 with the auto seat up on the 40).

I have newborn triplets and a 2 year old. I need to put in 3 infant seats/bases (currently have graco's and bases) and a front facing (currently have the Britax Marathon) for the 2 year old.

I can't find a config that works. Does anyone have any advice?

I'm willing to get different car seats, but which ones will work in that third row?

Help.

You can definitly do it...

Does your car look like this inside:

If so - Here are some options: (first - pull out your manual - just make sure for me that in the second row, middle seat, it doesn't say anything about not allowing installs of carseats).

I would put 2 infant seats on the 60 bench. Put the 40 seat down so you have access to the third row. In the third row, put the marathon behind the 60 bench and put the third infant seat behind the 40 seat.

If you can take out one seat all together in the yukon - I would... it will give you an access to the third row.

So two in the middle, and two in the way back. If you have to, use bases for the third row infant seat, and the infant seat that is outboard in the 60 seat, and in the middle row, install without the base.

Do you have snugrides or safeseats? safeseats will be a tad bit more difficult to get them all in... becuase they are bigger.

email me if you have questions - or go to www.car-seat.org - they are fabulous - all carseat techs and really good at this stuff!

We did not buy a surburan because we could not get an infant carrier to fit in the 3rd row - they infant carriers are simply too long.

Your only option is to put the 3 infant carriers on the second row and the britax in the third row. To load the 2 year old, you either climb in through the back door or uninstall/reinstall the infant seat on the 40 seat on the second row.

That or find a nice 12 passenger van
