Hi there. Congratulations on your trio - sounds like you have been through alot so far. Hopefully you'll find much support here. I know there are several parents with very premature babies on this forum. May I suggest you post on the main forum? Seems like most of us frequent there the most...

Good luck!

You may want to try this post on the main board... you will get many comments there.

Congratulations on having the trio home! There are lots of tips on sleeping and feeding schedules... usually people keep them on a 3 or 4 hour schedule that they got used to in the NICU. For feeding...it depends on what info you need. How to feed three at once or in succession, how to get them to eat more or faster, how to get them less gassy...the advanced search on the main board can get you answers quick, or you can post and get answers specifically for your situation. I use both.

Congratulations again!

Mine were 14 weeks early and stayed 3 mos / 3.5 mos /6 mos in the NICU. The transition home was hard. When John and Emma came home we had a night nurse to help (paid by insurance.) I'm sure you'll get lots of advice but I agree to post on the main board!

HI--I also have gbg triplets born 16 weeks early 6 years ago. One was in the NICU 3 1/2 months and the other two were in the NICU 6 1/2 months. the best advice I could offer is consistency. Come up with a schedule and do the same thing every day. Naps the same time everyday and feedings as well. I would hold on in my arms and one on my lap and the third one i would prop the bottle. I always tried to do the feedings all together. As far as sleeping I had them all on the same sleeping schedule also. They all slept in their own cribs and I always had a night time schedule. After I fed them dinner and or bottles around 5:30--then I did baths and read books to them (since the day they came home) and then put them in their cribs and played music very quietly--it worked great. Any other questions you can e mail me mysweetpea31@sbcglobal.net.

Hello, Congratulations on your triplets coming home! It is a very busy time I know. I have bbb triplets that are now 2 1/2 years old. I also have a 4 year old and four other children. I feel your pain. The special pillows with bottle holders for feeding were a great help to me. One important thing I learned was to keep their schedules the same. If one of them wakes up in the middle of the night to eat or be changed, wake them all and do all three then. If you don't you will get no sleep. I hope this helps!
