I'm beginning to think I'm a lazy mom of HOMs! I hear about moms on different sites all the time.

I belong to a yahoo same-age multiples group (that some here are also members of, lol) and TC. I tried to join MOST but hadn't heard anything from them.

SO... what sites do YOU frequent?

Sites evolve all the time, sometimes making them not what you think they are.

OK - I'm going to put this out there publicly so that I don't get another PM or response to this.

I have no issues with who or what is on the other site. I don't agree with porn, trash, drunkeness, obsenities around children, etc for myself. I am different, I can live with that. Me being different doesn't mean that I pass judgement and don't support you all on TC.

Due to this being PM to me - "I just wanted to encourage you to get to know us as individuals before you decide that we are as terrible as our reputations foretell. We might just surprise you. " I feel judged for not being there. There is tons more in the message, I think the person is sincere but I wish she would have not PM'd it and would have put it out there for everyone to see - I hate PM's sometimes....

I feel that I AM supportive of the TC women and I have never said - Shut up and go post on your other forum - Have I? Have I offended you all? Have I called you out and PM'd you? and said give me a chance I'm not as bad as you think, I might surprise you.....

Yeah, I'm a little bent, I'd better get off here before worse is said.

Not sure where that came from. But I don't agree with the stuff you said around children either. Heck I don't even let my children watch Spongebob Squarepants or Nick, because of the materialistic commericals.

I was just stating that what you see on the outside isn't always what's on the inside. Not here to start a war or arguement or anything. I'm loving this new area of TC and not looking to cause a rift here...

FWIW: I rarely go to the public side of that site...

I was just saying that I am different and have been called out because I have a different view of life for my family. I am being judged by a member of this board because she thinks I judge you all for posting somewhere else. It's not even somewhere that I have ever tried to be a part of - but I am being singled out and sent a lengthy PM ...wanna see it? She has decided (and I don't know who she has discussed me with because she gives the def impression that others feel the same) that I "find the other site offensive" and "I say this not to persuade you change your opinion of that site, but in hopes that you will not judge those members merely by affiliation".

Anyway, I HATE assumptions about me. I HATE saying things on a PM that if they really want to tell me something then put it out there, gosh maybe someone would even support me in it, wouldn't that be a shame.

So me noticing that most of the women on here post somewhere that I don't has caused - yes, hurt feelings, and yes, the thought that I really don't belong here.

Why not??

What is really going on?? I have seen you post on the boards for a while, but I have never chatted with you off TC. That being said.

I'm sorry that "friends" is not a term I use lightly. We all here have commrodity(sp) and there are some of us that have sparked friendships off the board IRL.

Please, I'm not trying to hurt your feelings or make you feel like your not part of the group.

I come here and try to lend the knowlege that I have and have a little fun and sense of humor about things. It is never my intention to come here and make someone feel bad or not wanted.

Well once it was my intention a few days ago, but the newbie really had it coming.

I apologize for PM-ing you. I am always reading posts which ask members to "take it off the boards" and I was attempting to respect that. I certainly had no idea that you would respond in this manner.

I believe I finished it up by complimenting your beautiful family and your lovely blog, then signed it with much respect. I guess I am just offensive by nature, regardless of intent. My apologies.

I wasn't intending to make you feel anything other than acknowledged and appreciated. Clearly, I missed my mark. I was afraid that you would feel uncomfortable about those posters who belong to "that other site." Because I value your opinions and I enjoy reading your posts, I guess I just didn't want to have you become discouraged by those numbers. Your post indicated that perhaps you might have been, at least from the way that I read it. If I misunderstood and you were noting that you were "the only one" not on that site for some other reason, than clearly I am in the wrong.

I have read and re-read my PM to you. I am struggling to find the wording that insighted such a strong response. I am sorry that my intentions were not made clear. I am sorry that you felt judged. Rest assured, I will not PM you again.

Wow. I really think you put words into Lea's mouth and are over reacting.

Yes Lea is one of the more out spoken and opinionated members of TC and I'll be honest, initially she made me mad as hell. But now I consider her one of my dearest friends because I actually got to know her.

Lea was just reaching out to you trying to make you feel comfortable because it was very obvious that a lot of us are members of "the other site" and by your post you felt a little left out so to speak. And I'm not saying that is how you feel, but that is how your post reads (IMO).

Why get so bent on her PMing you?? Most people get pissy when someone posts openly saying we should take it off the forum - geeze louise - cut her a break here. She apologized - repeatedly. Like her or not, I don't see how she wronged you here.

Stay or go, what ever, that is your decision. But I would hope that you stay, we all need all the support we can get and that includes people w/ different view points. If we all think and do things the exact same way then what help are we to one another??
