Another week has passed by. We are getting old!

Two of mine have the croup and are up coughing and hacking all night. My DH's out of town. I just started my period and have no pads in the house. It's 5:30am. Can't go anywhere. Is this TMI?

Cough, cough, cough, cough. I sure hope I don't get it!

Two of mine are reading now and they each can take one book in their backpack and read to the class during circle time. The third kid feels left out. Sigh. We are working on memorizing a book so she can "read" too.

Two of mine are sick, too. Yuck. Kristin is in the kitchen right now because I kept her home from school. I think if I had my period, too, I'd self-medicate.

I stayed up until 2 o'clock AM finishing a paper that was due YESTERDAY. I had to laugh because my sister called me at 11:00 and talked for an hour about boy problems. If she ever says any differently, I AM A GREAT SISTER!

DH has his final interview for his big promotion tomorrow (yay!) - wish us luck

I need to go grocery shopping because we're out of everything except Annie's Cheddar Bunnies. I haven't eaten much over the last two weeks, and even with the surgery my weight is holding steady. What's up with that?!?

On a positive note, I learned that my children CAN draw, just not with paper and pencils. They must have their magna-doodles.

So this is shaping up to be a pretty typical week.

weird week here...mon & tues were teacher development days, so i was never so glad to get the kids into bed as i was tonight.

i have a girlfriend visiting and i took her to the ladies market and spent a few hours pouring over chanel, gucci and LV catalogues, she is into the fake handbags! i was v. proud, i didn't buy one thing.

we are taking our eldest, sebastian to an educational psychologist on saturday. he's having a really tough time in the classroom these days. i just want him to be happier. he is so remote, and i almost feel like he is slipping away from me. frankly, i am scared for him, and tired of all the criticism.

This week is an exciting here because we got in our costumes I ordered! I'm so happy they are into the whole dress-up thing. I didn't think they would understand but they LOVE their costumes.

I'm also trying to connect with another triplet mom. Her kids are the same age as mine. In a town this small, it is very cool when I can meet someone else with multiples. I feel so bad for her because she is pretty isolated. I really want her to join TC! I think she would feel so much better about things if she could hear others talk about their experiences. It is just so normalizing to hear you all! I get so much from coming here.

This is fun! Thanks for letting me play! I'm only one day off this time!!

Michelle - I hope you guys don't have this cold for too long. The boys were sick about 2 weeks ago. Lucky for us it only lasted about 3 days and then they were doing a lot better. Not sick enough to miss any school though.

Loren - good luck to your DH and the promotion!! I hope he gets it.

I have been using the potty pager for Charlie. After a bit of a rough start he has been dry for the last 3 nights He is very pleased with himself and so am I. I learned that I can't give Charlie bubble gum - too much of the stuff and he starts having these horrible tantrums - hmm...I knew he had a problem with too much red dye - you'd think that I'd realize that PINK bubble gum has it- major 'duh' moment for me!

Allergy results have showed that my son Brian is no longer allergic to eggs and milk!. I'm still keeping him off of cows milk because it does seem to mess with his behavior. However, I no longer have to worry about him having a reaction if he gets it. All we have to worry about now is tree nuts!. This definitely makes things a lot easier on the food front.

Both boys learned a song in school (nifty fifty) that helps them learn the names of the states. They sang it to me last night. Dang, I don't think I could name all the states no less in alphabetical order.

The boys are all excited for Halloween already. They have their costumes and we even decorated the house.

I get to take a business day trip to lovely Ft. Irwin CA tomorrow. It is an army base about 45 miles outside Barstow CA, literally in the middle of nowhere. Its the worlds most boring drive and I'M REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO IT. I get to be ALL BY MYSELF. I get to work with other adults. I won't have to have my finger hovering over the 'mute' button on my cell phone so others don't hear the screeches that my boys are capable of. For me, business trips are like mini-vacations. I also get to take some training classes in Nov and Dec. Thats the best of both worlds - the classes are in my home town but I get to go to the training center to take them.

I have one coughing but hope it isn't anything. I just got them their flu shots today; paid out of pocket again for the preservative free but I just hate taking the chance.

I think we've had a good week. Either that, or I've blocked out all the bad stuff!

We had a fun playdate today with another boy and his nanny (the coolest nanny I've ever met) and went for a long nature walk and played on the caboose at the park. All our friends go to preschool but we manage get-togethers on their off days. And we have a homeschooling playgroup we see every week too.

They all had their 6 mos checkups at the dentist yesterday and got one quadrant sealed. We go back next month for more. The appt went fine; only bummer was that 2 of the toys they picked from the treasure chest at the end were pure junk and kept breaking from within minutes of opening. My kids were pretty sad about it but dealt with it well. The one elephant is learning to walk with 3 legs and since it now only has one ear, we have to make sure we talk to it on the good side

Everything's just been so much better/calmer since dh got home from his 3 week business trip. I think his absence was really bothering them and it showed in their behavior, even though they didn't verbalize it as such.

Congrats on your two readers! That's terrific!

We are at my parents' house. The drive took 7 hours and didn't go too badly. Katie got carsick 5 minutes before we were going to stop for lunch. Lunch was extended while we cleaned up kid and carseat. She was fine after getting sick. Ate lunch and was happy the rest of the trip. I made her wear a bib in the car just in case, LOL. Abby melted down after we stopped for gas. I let them split a milkshake and she was highly annoyed when I told them they had enough. The car DVD player is the best invention ever!

It has been nice being here. We took the kids to their first high school football game. It was homecoming and I got to see some high school friends I hadn't seen in years. We had a family reunion which was a lot of fun.

On the bad side, Ben hasn't slept the last 2 nights. I've had very little sleep. Two nights ago I gave him milk at 2:45 AM. I usually don't feed them at night but I was desperate. It turns out he was hungry. Couldn't he just TELL me that! I asked him earlier in the night but he wouldn't answer me. Last night he woke up with a fever of 102.8. We gave him Motrin and that took care of the fever. However, he wouldn't go to sleep. I ended up "sleeping" with him in a recliner in the living room. He was fine today. No fever at all. My mother said she will get up with anyone who needs it tonight so I can get some sleep.

We are taking the kids to Pumpkinland for the first time tomorrow. DH and I are going out for an early anniversary dinner this week too. He won't be here on the actual day.

Hope everyone has a good week. Michele, hope your kids feel better and you don't get it.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes!!! I hope he does well. DH is a really good employee, but he tends to flunk up on his interviews.

We are home from the hospital. Yeah!!! Kaeleb is still on the O2, but he is managing. We go back to the doctors on Friday. Poor Aoife has the same cold now. Everyone else has dealt with it and is recovering. Pray we don't keep passing this around!

Sorry I missed the Tuesday updates! Better late than never, right?

All good here. Sorry I'm like a week late. Had a girls day yesterday. It was fun. The kids are sleeping and eating better, so they are playing nicely with each other and me. LOL.

Personally, I'm addicted to Facebook. So my house is in shambles right now.

Hope everyone's health is improving.
