NAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ask my kids about CEC and they'll tell you that's where germs come from! LMAO!! They will also tell you that kids get sick there from the germs.

One day we're driving past. I had no idea they knew about the place, but PBS pimps the place out. They mention it. I tell them germs come from there, etc. LOL So I hear them saying this to each other the next time we pass it.

Another time we're driving past, they're talking amongst themselves and one says to the others that they wanted to go and clean CEC so the germs could leave and they could play there! LOL

Enjoy your party there!!

ETA: We did our last b-day at an indoor inflatable place and it was fabulous. It was private. They purelled the kids when they left the place. They sprayed the inflatables down as soon as the kids were leaving to go to the next room (They had 2 and stayed in one for a certain amount of time before switching rooms) and that just made me soooo happy as the germaphobe that I am. I highly recommend Pump It Up to anyone that has one!

I say Nay, too!

I've not had my kids parties there, but I've been to a few. And I agree, the germs...yikes stripes! I just think, "there is no way they clean that stuff everynight." Yea, my house is not the cleanest, but at least I know it's our germs..lol.

I told DH that we are never gonna take them to Chuck E Cheese, that way they won't know anything about it. We'll see how long that lasts!

We've not done a party there but have been there. I don't think there are really any good things for your kids to do.

They'd have much more fun at an inflatables party - if that is an option.

I really dislike this place too. I have not held my own party there, but been to a couple... YUCK. Not only the germs but there are too many other kids there....hard to keep track of your kids.....

I haven't done a party through Chuck-E-Cheese, but I have done our own party using CEC as a venue (much cheaper that way). We just invited family and brought our own cake.

We went on a weekday evening and it was pleasantly quiet. There weren't that many people and we were able to get a large table w/o any problem.

I like CEC's security level over some other local "party" venues. At CEC they stamp each family members' hands as you walk in (one number per family). The exit doors are guarded and they check hands upon departure to make sure that the right kids are going home with the right parents.

Our CEC has a clean appearance (and NO ball pits!!!). We've been there 3 times with the kids and we haven't had any "take-home" germs (thankfully!).

We all had a good time at CEC. Even some of the "big-kids" (aka young adults) got in on the fun! - I would say that there's very limited things for kids under the age of 3 to do though...

Hope that helps!!

-Leslie

I have not done a party there, nor have I been there for a party, but I considered it last year and my impression of parties there are that they are crazy and impersonal. The kids don't hang out together, they just go off on their own to play video games and come back for cake and food. It's loud and can be very crowded. And germs. But I guess it depends on what your kids like. I know I personally loved parties at CEC and places like it when I was a kid.

I work part-time at a bouncy castle place, and I think that's the way to go. We're doing our party at the place I work this year. They keep the party together in one room so the kids interact with each other, and then you have a private room for pizza, cake, etc. Just as much fun for the kids but less chaos. I know at the place we work, we try to disinfect the inflatables at the end of each day, but we don't have time between each party. We also let people bring in all their own food, which can cut the cost. The only downside I see, especially with triplets, is that you are limited on the number of guests you can have. Usually 25.

FWIW, my boys went to a party at My Gym last year and it was really cute. If it worked out better for us, that's where we'd be going this year. A lot of rec centers have pretty neat party packages too. We did ours last year at the local Gymnastics school and the kids loved it.
