How did I not know about this? And to think I didn't even realize you were all over here. Have you still been posted on the main page too??? You didn't abandon us over there.

Anyway, I hope it's okay if I post over here?! All four of mine have been fighting colds for a month now. They keep flaring back up. We keep passing it back and forth. Any ideas how to get rid of this nasty bug? Also, 2 of mine take medicine great, the other two it is an all out war. Any tips to get them to take medicine? Older guy is home sick from preschool today. Yippee! (note the sarcasm...)

We used the little plastic medicine syringes until they took medicine willingly. (You just squirt it into the back of their cheek.)

I wish I had some magic words of advice for colds for kids. Maybe someone else can answer that!

Sorry to hear about your sick kids!!! I too had a sick week last week. My 4 year old had: ear infection, croup, strep throut, yep all at the same time, the trio had ear infections and hand foot mouth. I was SO MAD and FRUSTRADED!!!!! So I too was at home with 4 sick kids. We watched a TON of TV, and a TON of popsycles, and the medicine went down better with the squirt in type for 1 of them, the older on wanted it in the spoon thingy you get at the pharmacey, and the other 2 I tricked by putting it on a spoon and pretending it was really good.

I washed EVERTHING in thier beds, and ran around with lysol and sprayed EVERYTHING at nap time and after bed time. We also have wood and tile floors so I bleache dthe floors to git ride of anyhting hanging out there!! It was a hard week. I feel your frustration, it sucks. I do hpe they are feelign better. and if possiable try to get out a little without the kids, after bed time perhaps even if its just to get milk or whatever, the fresh air does wonders!!
