What are your children going to be? How did you manage to affored them this year, LOL?

I bought three awesome dalmation costumes from Disney Outlet for the trio, at $14.99 a pop! Wahoo! Those three costumes combined cost as much as Abbi's sleeping beauty costume (and light up shoes, and crown, and wand...). The older girls picked out ghoolish costumes from Walmart for about $17.00 each. I feel like my pocket book was just completely violated! And this year was less than half of last years expense.

I thought I was saving a ton of money by making their costumes - maybe we are, I don't know - but they're still expensive. And I CAN'T SEW worth a crap. I've already sewn the skirt on backward to the Dorothy dress. D'oh!!!

$40-50 for the material, $15 for the red sparkly shoes (Dorothy), $3 for the witch hat (Wicked Witch), and I'm sure there'll be more additions when I make the Glinda crown and wand. Oh, and the broom and Dorothy's basket! hahaha... it never ends.

BTW, I read your site but don't always comment. That post about the bedtime story was soooo cute!

I used to sew ALL the time when my oldest daughter was little. But now-a-days the material is so expensive. I found it is much more expensive to sew than it is to buy off the rack.
