What are your children going to be? How did you manage to affored them this year, LOL?

I bought three awesome dalmation costumes from Disney Outlet for the trio, at $14.99 a pop! Wahoo! Those three costumes combined cost as much as Abbi's sleeping beauty costume (and light up shoes, and crown, and wand...). The older girls picked out ghoolish costumes from Walmart for about $17.00 each. I feel like my pocket book was just completely violated! And this year was less than half of last years expense.

This year, the girls told me what they wanted to be, and amazingly I was able to make it all work with sweatsuits, haha. I have a mouse; gray sweatsuit with homemade ears and little nose mask with whiskers and teeth and some big pink beads (since she's a girl mouse), a kitty cat: black turtle-neck and black knit pants we already had and a set from Wal-mart with ears and a tail...add a big pink feather boa and a pink bow on her ear; and a flower: green sweatpants, a pink turtleneck, a flower petal headband that I got in the dollar bin at Target a few months ago and a big plastic terra cotta looking pot that was $3, we cut out the bottom, popped a set of suspenders on it to hang over her shoulders and she's a potted daisy (this one turned out SOOOOO cute). I think I spent about $20 total...very frugal this year! I'm sure it won't always be that easy, but I'll take it while I can get it.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my best friend did a Hannah Montanna outfit for her little girl and bought everything at goodwill, lol. It turned out SOOO cute. She got a sequined tube top and is using it as a skirt with black leggings that they had and found a funky little sweater and bouht a big sparkly "H" at Michaels and is pinning it to a pink shirt and will wear boots she already had and found a blonde wig...hillarious, turned out adorable.
