My singleton gets one hour per week. However, when your DS turns three, have him evaluated by the school district. We even have "speech preschool" that's four days a week, 2.5 hours per day. He might qualify for a lot then. Michele Sarah, Gregory, Amanda born 1/22/04 at 35w1d

I agree with Michele. Get him evaluated at three. But in the meantime, I'd take advantage of any speech therapy services ou can get your hands on, and if you feel the delay is severe and you can afford it, consider private speech therapy too.
One of my boys is very speech delayed. He started speech therapy through the district at 3 years old. He's going to be five next month and while he has made huge strides, he is stil obviously very speech delayed. This is going to be a problem for him well into elementary school barring some miracle. I would give almost anything to be able to go back and get him as much help as I could as early as I could.
Good luck! Kristen
