I posted this on my raisingmultiples group too...it totally cracked me up today. I have a new job and have needed to go into work to do orientation this week so I will be ready to work tomorrow, so my mom kept the girls for me. They had storytime at the library this morning and I didn't want to miss it, so my mom got the girls ready and then brought them to me to take to storytime. On the way, they passed a dead skunk on the road and Sophie asked my mom what it was.

Mom: it's a skunk
Sophie: why isn't it moving?
Mom: it died
Sophie: like Jesus died?
Mom: sort of
Sophie: did it die on a cross?
Mom: no it didn't die on a cross

Sophie: It had blood and boo-boos like Jesus (we are catholic, so
they see depections of Jesus on the cross at church and the
depictions are pretty graphic with blood from the side wound and the
crown of thorns...and most of the statues are life-size, so it's
pretty enthralling to them)

Mom: yes, it had blood, but it didn't die on a cross, it got run over
by a car

Sophie: Jesus lives in my heart, does the skunk live in my heart?
Mom: holding back giggles...No, only Jesus lives in your heart,
skunks don't live in your heart.
Sophie: Oh...

Mom says she was VERY serious...too funny!
