#2309, "No Naps = Early bedtime for ME"

I purposely didn't nap the kids 2 days in a row to see what would happen. They've been staying up until 9pm for well over a year. I put them to bed at 7:15 and my DH was in bed at 7:45. It's 8:10 and I can barely keep my eyes open. Yawn. I'll be up at 3am at this rate.

It's not supposed to be like this, is it? We are so used to being wiped out by the time they go to bed that we don't even know how to function with an earlier bedtime!

Yep... I'm familiar with that.

It takes about 30 minutes to get my second wind for the night. Then I'm good for a few more hours.

Shoot...my boys are in bed at 8am. I'm in bed at 8:30!!.

I'll admit that I watch TV or read or something for about an hour. But once the boys are down I'm DONE for the night.

Oops..its almost 9pm - past my bedtime

Some days I purposely don't nap the kids, so they'll be in bed by 7 or before! lol Especially when dh is out of town for the week.

Truly, I would DIE if I did not have a naptime break. DIE! I am dreading that stage. Mine still take a several hour nap every afternoon, and sleep 7:30 to 7:30 every night! Woohoo! (They are like their momma and need lots of sleep!)
