#2356, "Back from out of town, kids are MONSTERS!"

I went out of town for a week, came home this past Monday night, and ever since, my children have been HEATHENS!!! I completely expected them to act out the first day or two after I got home, but they have reached an unprecedented level of fighting/whining/super-clingy/disobeying/ignoring me when I tell them to do something. Every day this week they have been like this. It is INSANE!!!

They stayed at our house with their Yaya while I was gone. She is a *little* bit less firm with discipline than me, but for the most part, we are parallel in how we expect the boys to behave.

What gives?! I am about to lose my mind! If a little vacation to meet my boyfriend's family makes them act like this, I'm never leaving again!

Jenny,

I hear ya! Last weekend our same age yahoo triplet group got together for the weekend and my kids were so awful last week when I got back. I was only gone 3 days for heavens sake and I am still getting grief. The whining has hit an unprecidented level at our house I am going bonkers. Their dad kept them and I think it was party time while I was gone. Argh! Makes going out of town that much less desirable knowing what I will have to come back to. Hopefully though you got a little R&R in there.

JOY

So how did meeting the boyfriend's family go? Hopefully better than your homecoming. Sorry your boys are giving you so much trouble.

Just wanted to say hi and wondering if you are greek too? You said YiaYia and my kiddos also have a YiaYia and Papou.

Sorry you came back to a hard time. Do hope you did have a nice weekend meeting your boyfriend's family.

No, we aren't Greek, that's just the name she picked. Meeting Joe's family went AWESOME. I felt so at home with all of them. He's been hiding in the 'mancave' since I left, though. I think the whole think freaked him out.

Anyway, the kids are STILL acting like banshees. It has been a very clingy, whiny past 7 days, and I'm ready for the aliens to give my kids back.
