Hi, We had the same type of pregnancy. Our boys are identical and our daughter fraternal. I actually taught two sets of triplets that are like this, one was all girls and the other was 2girls and a boy. We were high risk as you are now. our boys did not develop ttts but were watched more carefully than our daughter. they were born at 29 weeks, but they are perfect now.(our daughter's passing away was the hospital's mistake)
There is another mom here with the same situation, but hers are a year older than mine. Do you know what you are having? Good luck...
My dr. said she sees a case like this about every 5 yrs or so in her practice, so it seems to be common enough. you just don't always hear about it.

Our surviving triplets are almost 5

My girls are 18 months old. We have identical girls who have a fraternal sister (hence, all girls). They were born at 33 weeks and the identicals did suffer from TTTS. My doctors caught the TTTS at 18 weeks. I was put on bedrest at week 18 and was hospitalized at week 28. My biggest weighed 4.2, my smallest 2.15. They were in the NICU for 28 days. They have suffered no long term problems from the TTTS (except that they are still small for their age- They weigh 22, 21 and 20 pounds) or from their prematurity.

Every triplet pregnancy is unique. Trust yourself, your doctors and The Lord.

Best Wishes.

Hi! my name is Stacie I have triplet 5 yr. old girls 2 are identical and one fraternal I was never on any fertility drugs just all natural shocking pg. My identical girls were not in the same sac but had a very, very thin membrane between the two and shared a placenta. Georgia was off by herself just hanging out.. So no you are not a total rare condition but getting pg with triplets with out fratility is 1 in 4000 from what my dr. told me.

I have two month old triplets - all girls. Same as you - no drugs just a spontaneous pregnancy. Two identicals and one fraternal. We really didn't have any probs in the pregnancy.

Hi I have three boys, two ID and one Fraternal also. It was a spontaneous pregnancy too. The two ID boys shared a placenta and sac with a thin membrance between them. It took the doc ages to find the membrance though. Didn't have any problems till the last week of my pregnancy ( I had them at 32weeks6days). One of the ID boys wasn't putting on any weight. He was the smallest at birth, but the strongest out of them all. He didn't need any oxygen, was breathing room air from the moment he was born while his other two bigger brothers needed oxygen for 3 hours. The smallest was 3pound7 while his bigger twin was 4pound12, so there was a big difference between them, and the fraternal boy was 4pound2.

So don't worry about it now, and the doc will keep a close eye on you anyway. Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy.

Eve

Same scenario~ spontaneous, two ID, one frat. Our Ids did develop TTTS (which we were being monitored CLOSELY for) around week 18. We did have to receive treatment for this (there are different options out there for treatment) and ended up delivering at 32w2d. The twin to twin transfusion sydrome foundation (TTTSfoundation) is a wonderful resource. I am sure if you do a google search you can easily find their website. They are a wealth of information. I didn't end up contacting them until we were diagnosed with TTTS, but I am sure you could contact them now, just to gather information and be knowledgeable about what to watch for and what your options are should you find yourself in the sitation. Congrats on your pg!

I have two identical boys and 1 girl, am currently 20 weeks pregnant. My boys don't share an aminotic sac, but they do share a placenta.

I am monitored weekly for TTTS.

How often are your OB appts?

I have two identicals and one fraternal. I did take fertility medicine, but did not do in-vitro. The doctor said the identicals had nothing to do with the medicine. God decided we needed three!

I'm not sure I have the same situation as you. My identicals were in the same outer membrane, but were in two separate amniotic sacs. They did share one placenta. They grew at the same rate and weighed 2# 6.7oz and 2# 6.9 oz.

I love to watch my identicals interact with each other. They definitely have a connection.

Congratulations and good luck!

Hi, I have triplet boys... 2 identical and 1 fraternal. I didnt have any drugs either. They are complete gifts of God. I delivered at 34 weeks with very few complications. My doctor kept a close eye on the babies. He had me in 3 days a week for checkups. I will keep your family in my prayers. I really hope things go well for you and your precious babies. Keep thinking possitive. God Bless
