Hello All,
My name is Karen. I'm married to my best friend, Les and we have one adopted daughter Naomi Ruth who is 9yo and homeschooled. 3rd grade! She was born in Bolivia and we had a private/open adoption with her birthmom. We are in the process of adopting triplets from a friend. It is a very long story but an awesome one. When we agreed to adopt this baby, we all thought it was just one. She was about 11 or 12 along when she was told that it was three!!! She has 4 other children and didn't want or need #5, much less #6 & 7. She is not able to care for them and is very happy and excited about us adopting them. We are also very happy and excited. There are days that I'm just in awe and there are days that I'm bouncing off the walls with excitement.
Anyhow, I came here looking for support, encouragement, advice and tips!!! No one in my family has triplets and I want to learn as much as I can in the next 5-6 months before they arrive. Here are some of my questions for now... I'm sure you will see alot of me.
I was searching for stroller info. What is an RA?
What type of vehicles do yall have? I have a ford windstar right now and am concerned with being able to get to the back seat for the third baby and Naomi.
That's all right this moment. I'm sure there will be more. If anyone who has adopted them, has some advice or tips, please please post!!!
Thank you so much!!!
Love & Prayers, Karen <>< Wife to Les Mom to Naomi, Jacob, Alexander, & Rachel

I just saw your post over here and thought I would let you know that if you post on the Multiple Questions forum many many many more see those posts and reply to them. I am still pregnant with my three so I dont have much advice for you but the gals over there have a wealth of knowledge. Congrats on your upcoming trio! Tammie

Ditto what the other poster said -- post on the other board if you want people to read them.
But, to answer your question, I think it's AWESOME that you're adopting triplets. "TripleScoop" just recently finalized her triplet adoption this past week. I think her trio is 2 now.
A "RA" is a "runabout". It's an awful looking stroller (my husband says it's got to be the ugliest stroller in the world) but it is so incredibly functional. I don't have one yet, but if you just look at a lot of the posts on the photo forum, you'll see pictures of other people's runabouts. Also, in the latest triplet connection magazine there was a BUNCH of pictures of people's runabouts. By the way -- I highly recommend becoming a paid member of TC if you aren't already. Send away for the new mom's packet. Maybe even send away for the expectant mom's packet for the birthmom to read through. You want her to be as healthy as possible and to do everything she can to keep those babies healthy.
There is another post right now in the main forum about vehicles. There are lots of opinions posted already.
Good luck and CONGRATS!!
