I am sure this question has been asked here a million times, o I apologize...but did your trips co-sleep in 1 crib/packnplay? For how long? If not, were they in 3 separate cribs/packnplays? We are expecting 2 id and 1 frat. Thanks!!!

Mine are all in 1 crib (they are 13 weeks right now). It's mostly for convenince and space for us, I don't think they sleep better or worse without eachother. Although, just in the last week or so, when my identical sleep near eachother, they scoot so their heads are together.

Ours have always slept separately in three packnplays, although all in the same room. Theyīre id, in case thatīs important. I wanted them separate from the beginning because I was afraid they would interrupt each otherīs sleep, but Iīve heard of others who do great all together.

My boys have always slept in separate cribs in same room from the time they came home. They were also separate in the NICU. Some say cobedding works really well for them. For us I don't think it would have ever worked as they are restless sleepers and I feel they would have disturbed each other. Also, our nicu recommended against it due to SIDS. But others say they were encouraged to do so.

Sorry not much help, huh.

I went through the same dilema as you are deciding on whether to go with packnplays or cribs. However, I found online at Wal-mart.com crib sets called "Nursery-in-a-box". It came with a crib, 4 drawer dresser and changing table for $200. Being that the cribs convert to toddler beds later and the weight limits on the packnplays, I felt buying the Nursery-in-a-box was the better deal.

I bought 3 of them allowing for 3 seperate cribs and dressers and for changing tables throughout the house; one in our room, one in their room and one in the living room.

Being that our triplets were so small when they first came home, they all fit in one mini-crib. The mini crib is on wheels so I can move it from room to room for now. However, they are just under 2 months and will need to graduate into their normal size cribs soon.

Hope this helps!

Mine co bedded in the NICU when they were able. When they came home the plan was to co bed the boys in our room and put dd in a basinett in our room. that didnt last long as DD wanted to be with her brothers. So they all cobedded in our room until yesterday. they are 5 months old now. I did separate them for naps about a month ago, but still kept them all together at night. They were starting to move around too much in the bed so I decided it was time to separate.

At this point, I haven't noticed whether they care or not if they sleep next to their sisters. Two of them are fussier than the Third and want to be held by me constantly - so I've let them sleep with me occasionally in order for me to get any sleep. Anyway, they all tend to move alot already which makes me think I need to seperate them however their crying doesn't seem to bother each other.

I used sleep postioners which kept them from moving around the crib up until now. They have been able to move around a bit with them now at 5 months old.

We just came from the Dr., and she said that the babies were kicking and moving too much to be in one crib, that they each needed a crib-not a Pack-n-play like they had been sleeping in. We had made a "nursery nook" in the living room, but now I feel we should move everyone to the babyroom. She also said no more swaddling, since they could break free from the blankets, we should just lay them in the bed on their backs with no blankets?
I DREAD tonight--I feel a "no sleeper" coming on...

My trio was born Oct. 30--went to Dr. Monday and had 5 shots each--but did well and all weigh over 10lbs!
The Dr. said since they are squirming so much, that they should each be in their own crib. No blankets she said, this seems to weird b/c we had been swaddling them, as taught from the NICU nurses. Ped said to lay in crib with no blankets.

How are your kids sleeping?

I think swaddling is different from having blankets in the bed. Unless you're swaddling them with big blankets...

I still swaddle with receiving blankets to where if they unravel themselves, they aren't going to smother themselves in it. However, comforters and blankets in the crib are said to be a no-no.

This is so wierd...I was going to ask this question today! My trips are just over two months and we have them in one regular sized crib. They love to sleep next to each other and don't seem to bother each other when they cry. Our issue is that they are soooo long that they are almost hitting the sides of the cribs with their heads and feet (We haven't been to the doctor's in over a month, but we think our trips are about 10 pounds each). We were thinking about turning them the other way in the crib, but just don't know.

Being in one crib helps out a lot during nightly feedings (they are feeding every 2 1/2 to 3 hours). We can watch all of them this way. I was hoping to find a way that they can all fit in the one crib until they start sleeping through the night. I just wish the crib was wider.

I tried having two sleep side by side at one end of the crib and the other sleeping at the other end so their feet are all in the middle. I rotated them so they could take turns sleeping next to someone but they really didn't seem to care. Now they are all in their own cribs although they still could sleep together.
