#1067, "Birth Announcement"

I hope you don't mind me posting this here, but I wanted to share our girls' birth announcement with those who could understand the bittersweet. I have really been struggling with getting these out, because I still can hardly accept that we have three names to announce, but only two of my beautiful babies can be pictured on the announcement. I miss Karina everyday, and I just hope that as time passes, it will get easier.

Hopefully I posted the picture right. Thank you for all the support and understanding on this forum.

Anne

Anne

I just wanted to tell you how beautiful, respectful and touching I found your announcement to be. What an honor to your gorgeous living daughters and to their loved sister.

I can't imagine a more perfect way to show your love for all of your daughters.

Anne,

That turned out beautiful and it is so wonderful that you included Karina. I didn't include my Brendan and really regret that.

There will always be an ache and a hole but there will be so many moments of joy from your daughters that are here that it will deaden the pain and it will happen that you will have more happy than sad moments, it just takes a while for that time to come.

It is absolutely perfect. I know it sometimes takes "courage" to even mention our lost babies but you did it in a beautiful way.

Our surviving triplets are almost 5

Oh, Anne.

This made me cry because I simply could never get out a birth announcement on my babies. Of course, I lost Carina at the very last moment and had no time to even adjust to the idea of not having her before they were born. Still, I think it is incredibly brave and wonderful that you created these beautiful announcements.

Yes. It gets easier with time. Not immediately, and not easily. But I promise that it does get easier.

God bless you and your beautiful triplets.

Anne, Your birth announcement of the girls is so beautiful. I just love that picture. I love how you included your daughter Karina. I did the same thing and everyone told me that it was one of the best birth announcements that they have ever seen.

I am so sorry about the loss of your little Karina. Please know that I am thinking of you.

Much Love,

An absolutely beautiful birth announcement. Your girls will be proud of it when they grow up and look at it! I wish I had had the strength to do an announcement when we had our kiddos. I applaude (sp?) you for doing it!

Anne, your girls are so beautiful! I love the announcement. I announced our babies in the paper this weekend. Normally, it titles, "It's twins" or "It's Triplets". Well, I struggled with the title. So I put "Our Babies Have Arrived". And above Eastyn's name and weight, I put "our Angel in Heaven". Of course, everyone who sees the babies automatically think they are twins. I feel the need to say that they are actually triplets and tell them that we lost their brother. Most of the time, my 5 year old son beats me to it. He tells them that "we lost one, Eastyn is Heaven". It makes me proud that Logan includes Eastyn, even though we'll never have him at our dinner table, but he will always be in our conversations.

I definately think you did the right thing by honoring their sister.

your announcement is a beautiful celebration of your surviving girls, and a loving tribute to your Karina. Thank you for sharing it.
