#2791, "Memorial Day decorations"

My mom and I were talking about Memorial Day and how it's basically tradition to decorate graves. Those of you that do this, what do you usually do? My babies headstone is a sideways heart so I can't do a saddle decoration. We do have a vase on the right hand side though. My sister said she wanted to put a concrete statue of a bear with angel wings. I think it sounds cute but I really like to have approval of what people put there. Is that bad of me? Any ideas on what I could do?

Hi Kara,
Something that I really enjoy doing is putting three little teddy bears or other little figures (we did lambs for easter) on the babies grave. It's so cute and it let's you "give" something to each one of your babies.
I'm sure you'll think of something very special to do.

Kara:

I don't have any suggestions for you, but just noted that you are now nearly 31 weeks!!! Yaaaaaaaaay! We're still praying for 33 weeks for you and the babies. Keep on keeping on!!

My cousin and I are planning to start a mozaic stepping stone for my little Abegail.

You can check out all sorts of things on the official Miscarriage Memorial website.

I love the garden stepping stone they have with the sleeping angel.

Hi Kara,

I wanted to let you know that just last weekend Steve and I went and put a beautiful ceramic Sitting Angel on the ledge of our Babies headstone. We were also allowed to plant small roses on each side of the stone. Other's decorate so nicely. One child's site has wooden toys, a LA Doger's baseball and pretty little plants. I'm looking for a wooden windmill. I've seen them. Their of small birds and their wings twirl. I hope I find some. It does make me feel like I'm doing something for my babies. Hope that helps.
