#3518, "I ran into my first set of triplets "

Today was actually okay. I got some quotes for our March for Babies t-shirts. I had a few clients today. I got all my errands done. Then I went to Target and it all turned into you know what with capital letters...I ran into triplets. I heard the mom say "They’re almost 14 months". I lost it. Babies are hard enough...then place triplets of the age mine would’ve been right in front of me...forget it. UGH!!! I was still crying when I went to check out...I think the lady helping me thought I was a mental case...I guess I kind of am. I was dreading this day...

Oh, I totally get you. After I lost my first set, everyone who was pregnant while I was....I couldn't be around them or their new baby/babies. And it seemed everyone needed to tell me if "so and so" was pregnant with multiples. I could have cared less and wanted to bite anyone who was pregnant. Watching children who would be my first boys'(JC, Jack and John) age was horribly rough. I was so hurt and mad at God. I cried a lot and tried to avoid anyone with little ones. It took us over a year and a half to get pregnant again. Don't give up and hang in there.

Kind regards,
Melody

Thank you...I think I am copying you, because we have already been through 2 FETs and one fresh since ttc again and we are still not pregnant. I just started BCPs tonight for our next attempt. My next transfer should be around mid-May. I want to bite all the pregnant women too (not literally, but you know)...

I just need it to be my turn oh so bad...

When my DD was still in the NICU, I was staying at the Ronald McDonald house. I was in the laundry room, when a fellow NICU mom came in so excited and told another mom that "My Daniel is coming home tomorrow". I started crying immediately, since my DS that had passed away was named Daniel also, I was so sad and kept thinking "Im never going to be able to say those words, Im never going to be able to take MY Daniel home". I still cry when I think about it...

I also cry when I see twins (not even triplets), and the attention they get and think about my precious triplets and how nice it would be to get all that attention.

I cry at anything that reminds me of my babies. You can heal, and deal with loss over time, but those unexpected triggers really affect you..

Hi Rachel,

I would have flipped out and ran out! You did good, girl. You still managed to buy what you needed.
At my clinic (my job) there is a woman who has twins and everyone fusses over her. I totally go out of my way to avoid any contact with her or anyone with infants and toddlers. My triplets were not far in front of yours. They would be 17 months now and I still can't be around little ones. You are not a mental case! Cause if you are then so am I, big time. I am so praying for you and your hubby, for a + test!!!!
I started treatment again, so far nothing. Just pain and suffering! I think about you all the time. Take care...and big big hug!

My heart goes out to you. I understand the feeling about seeing triplets -- it really hurts.

You are in my prayers.
