Hi,
I'm having a difficult week. On Wed. in the middle of the night I had a horrible twisting muscle spasm in my lower belly and a jolt that woke me up. I also had a horrible dream that I wasn't pregnant anymore! My appt. is this Monday so, I'm praying and hoping that my little one is still alive and well. last night I had a jolt again but more mild. I totally don't know what they are. I first thought maybe my stomach muscles are stretching and my c-section from triplets is causing this. But I don't know. Steve and I are both resigned to doing what we can to have this baby (cerclage, bedrest, whatever) but if we lose it, well, at least we tried one last time. I so hope I get to have this baby!!!! Please keep us in your prayers. God bless you all. Oh, Rachel I responded to your post, but want you to know how happy I am for your progress and good news. You are AWESOME!!! Raquel,
This pregnancy is by far way more painful than my trio's too. I assume it is the scar tissue and adhesions from the c-sect that are causing it. I did rent a BabyBeat doppler when I was at your gestation for comfort, but had to return it as we couldn't afford it. If you can rent one to get you until 20 weeks when you can feel him that might help. It was so nice to hear her heartbeat whenever I needed to. Also, make sure your are seeing a doctor that is there for you. Mine because of my horrible cervix is doing weekly vaginal USs. He is also doing weeking vaginal cultures to make sure I don't develop an infection that could cause her sack to break. He is not taking any chances...make sure your doctor is like that or switch. I will look into the babybeat doppler but were pretty broke, so I don't know. My doc. already said she is going to do regular cultures to check for infections but I think right now its so early, she was kind of discouraging about the cerclage since my sac broke she belives it was an infection rather than incomp. cervix but after the birth of baby c, Xavier, peri had to push him back inside me due to placenta coming out first then rush for C- section and with baby Joseph, Oh, nightmare, placenta wasn't coming out and I was bleeding too much so they had to have two doc's get all of it out (Ugggh!!!) So, my cervix has been through hell. Therefore, I am having a cerclage to cover all the basis and my Peri is in agreement. I do want to be seen weekly but again, I'm only 11 weeks. Thank you so much for you help. You are a great person. I look forward to not feeling nauseous and No MORE MUSCLE SPAMS, PLEASE!!!! i was only seen weekly once my cervix went to hell after the first cerclage. As long yours stays strong after it I think every 2 - 3 weeks should be fine! Well, for anyone who is interested, I have an infection already!!! Started 1st dose of antibiotics. I read Rachel's post about her having an infection and It really scares me. It seems that for me my cervix doesn't shorten, my poor history includes premature rupture which I remember feeling like I started leaking as early as 14 weeks with baby Joseph. I have been so nauseous and dry heaving that I leaked fluid today. I just want to curse!!!!! I don't know if it was urine or what. I mean I was just checked yesterday and the baby's fluid was fine, but with me who knows. I also remember with baby Sophia, I started leaking at around 18 weeks just little bits until my water broke at 23 weeks, I then lasted until 25weeks4 days. I just don't know what to do. All I do is lay around and feel sick. I'll see the doc on Monday again for consult re: Cerclage, I guess I just wait and see. Raquel,
My doc does a vaginal culture swab at each visit as he says "to see what's growing in there". Insist on that too! She took a swab and looked at it herself. Is that the same? She said I had vaginitis which studies show to be linked to premature rupture? The bad thing is I get so sick, I throw up most of the antibiotic. What can I do!!! I'm glad to hear you are doing so well. Big hug. No it is not the same. They need to send it to a lab to grow for a few days. This is how the found the group b strep. I have had a recurrent yeast infection and the Diflucan they give me makes me viloently sick for a day, but it is the most effective way to get rid of it so I take it. I am currently on Clindamycin for a bacterial infection and then have to re-take the nasty diflucan at the end of treatment to prevent the regrowth of yeast...fun, fun times.
