#3688, "Back after loss of 2 angels"

Hello. I posted on the Triplet board some during my pregnancy with spontanious identical boy triplets. The babies had Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome and were born after fetal surgery at 24 weeks. We lost David at birth and lucas after almost a month in the NICU to NEC. Elijah spent four months in the NICU and is home now after three surgeries and many other issues, he is doing well now but he only weighs 10lbs at 6 months old. He was 1lb 8oz at birth. He is our miracle but we will always miss his brothers.

I am so sorry for the loss of your two boys. It must have been so devastating to lose Lucas after trying to cope with the loss of David. We lost one of our triplets when she was two days old and a year out it is still very difficult. I hope Elijah continues to do well, one of my survivors is very small as well. He was 1lb 14oz at birth and at a year is only 17lbs. He has done well though despite his size. Take care and please post whenever you need to.

I´m very sorry for the loss of your precious angels, David and Lucas. Welcome to this board, where there are so many of us that have gone through this difficult time, and can offer mainly support and understanding of what your going through.

I had my trio at 26.5wks, and lost Daniel after 5 days in the NICU due to a massive IVH and Nicolle after 15 days due to multiple bowel perforations that led to NEC and sepsis and pulmonary hemorrhage. Nathalie, my surviving triplet, spent 95 days in the NICU, had many hurdles to overcome, but now is a perfectly normal (altough small for her age) 2 year old.

I can say that it has been a hard road to travel, missing my angels but having to concentrate on my surviving triplet, but I promise it gets better.

We are here for you, you are not alone...

I am so sorry for the loss of your two boys. I had spontaneous triplet boys as well. Two of them where identical. We lost Alex one the ID's shortly after birth. They had suffered from IUGR and had no fluid. Brennan our surviving twin is still in a medical facility but is coming home very soon. Christian our other triplet came home in feb. They will be a year on election day. Brennan has had been obstacles but is still with us today. On the weight issue Brennan weighed 1.3 and he is only 12.4 now.
