I just spent some time with a local mom who lost her triplets this week and it made me realize how much I longed to spend more time with people that "get it." Cathi and I are fairly close and I know that if I ever needed her, she would be here in a heartbeat {{{HUGS CATHI}}}}. We are in Florida. I don't know if other people have someone nearby to them that they could lean on...sooo...that is why I am writing. I was wondering if people would be willing to give the state they are in so when we have someone new join us, they will know that there is someone possibly close by...if you find someone in your state, you could possibly send them a PM and get more information. I totally understand if you are interested in remaining anonymous, so don't feel obligated.

This is a great idea! I would love to meet somone nearby to be able to talk to. One of my friends where I grew up has another friend who also lost a triplet. She may be interested in corresponding with me, I am waiting to hear. she lives about 5 hours from where I live now but the support would be great. I don't know anyone personally who can relate to this. I am lucky though because I have two wonderful sisters who are my best friends!

Anyway, I live in Ohio near where West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania all meet. thanks for coordinating this!

Hey Dana, I live in Pasco county work in Pinellas approx 2 hours from Naples, Karen is approx 3 hours away from Naples, she lives by Disney I am on the same coast as Naples just north. Let me know when you will be in town.... I would love to get together, I have been wanting so bad to get together with Karen unfortunately my father isn't doing so well, so I have been very busy with that, But we plan on getting together very soon...

I live in Northern California - near Modesto (and Tracy, if you've been following the Sandra Cantu case).

I wish i'd have known... we were in Red Bluff in January... that's close enough that I would have come down to visit for a day... (i'm a truck driver by trade, long drives never seem long to me! lol!)

My kids are begging to go back to CA...i'll let you know if we do!!

We lost our son and two other family members in a car accident at age 8, which led us to a group called compassionate friends (google it). It is a wonderful group that meets all over the US and is designed for parents who have lost a child to speak with other parents who have been through it. The loss is a terrible thing, but having people who have been through it to meet with, become friends with and discuss it with has been a godsend in helping us keep going.
