#4393, "update & new angel keepsake"

Hi ladies -

I wanted to keep you posted on us - Alex came home from the NICU 2 weeks ago after deciding he liked milk enough to eat it consistently. It has been so busy I haven't had time to write a good post. So we have both our survivors home now. It is good but very busy. We finally picked up our angel Ari's cremated remains this past weekend and now we have all 3 home with us. I am just looking forward to having our house to ourselves soon so I can feel free to grieve...(MIL is staying with us now...whole other post!)

I also found a necklace online that I got for myself as a keepsake for my 3 babies - it is the alphabet charms on this website, so I got 2 A's and a Z. Kinda pricey but I wanted something I could wear forever. I got it in the mail today and it is so beautiful. I am really happy with it. I know we are all always looking for different ways to remember our angels. The website is www.helenficalora.com

Thanks for listening as always...it is nice to have a place where I feel understood.

Love,
Heather

That's great news that Alex is home now too. I'm sure it's nice to have help but it will be even nicer to have the house to yourselves. I remember actually being glad when my husband went back to work - one less person to keep track of. Hang in there!

Thanks for the tip on the charms - they are so cute. I'm always on the prowl for new ideas.

Hi Heather,
Happy to hear that Alex and Zoi are home and healthy and that your angel Ari is also home with you.

Send MIL out shopping for a long while! I know after a while we just starting telling people "don't come over", I needed some "me" time to just cry and think.

Your charm necklace is beautiful....did you go with gold or silver?

Take some time for you. Hugs, Nan

After much debate I went with gold, with one little diamond on each. It is very pretty and touching it makes me feel better, as strange as that may sound.

Nan, thanks for sharing your garden with us, you are an inspiration to me!

MIL doesn't speak much english or drive...so she can't get out much. Luckily my mom is going to take her out this week for a while. Every time the babies cry she asks me "Why?" (which drives me nuts, hello they are babies!) ...so I don't know what she'd ask if I was crying...and my Greek is not good enough to explain to her. Ugh!

Love to you ladies-
Heather

Heather,

I'm so glad Alex is home! Gabrielle came home two weeks ago as well. I totally understand your not wanting anybody in the house. I've declined all offers of help (my father in law has even offered to get us a night nurse for the first month, which he did for his daughter and step-daughter), but I just don't want anybody here. During the day I am fairly well occupied, but at night when I am up with Julia and Gabrielle is usually when I cry the most, and I just need that time to myself.

I will check out the site you mentioned, I've been looking at a bracelet for me with Caitlin's footprints and a key chain for my husband at myforeverchlid.com.
