Sorry to be MIA, I haven't checked in much because nothing was really going on here over the summer so I turned to my girls' garden and blogging for a while, which has been very healing. Good to see alot of you are back and hope everyone is doing well. Hubby and I have been doing alot of talking over the summer about when to try again, and we decided to go talk to the RE and see what his thoughts were, plus just to get checked out to make sure all was ok internally and hormonally. We had a good appt and he told us ofcourse how sorry he was, that he thought things were going so well, so ofcourse I bawled my eyes out for a bit then we got to talking. He said we would do the same IVF protocol as the last two times, and he would want to transfer two embies. This scares me a little, but then again I only have two more shots at this due to insurance limits. We also met with the MFM who was consulting when we had the girls, and he said he would want to do a cerclage at twelve weeks and "hopes" I don't have twins...nice huh. He wont be taking me on as a patient, just consulting again, which is better because I am so-so about him. I have a new OB in mind too, and thankfully I hear he is wonderful...I am only going to meet him if I get prego, dont need anymore appts right now. So....we decided to go for it again, and I started my first shots last Saturday, just waiting on my Lupron bleed now. I am nervous but also hopeful, as I have 3 angels watching over me. I also continue to see the shrink to help me get through the anxiety. I am also trying not to tell my family as I dont want to drag them through this again in case it doesnt work, they dont need added pain, disappointment or stress of worrying about us all over again. I hope none of my family members have found me on this site! So its very low key for now. Just need prayers. Thats it for me, wish us luck. Hugs, Nan xo

PS to Dana, thanks for your comment on my blog, it was so nice to hear from you! I think of you often xo

Oh Nan, I am so excited to hear you are trying again. So excited. I understand your fear and am too hoping for one nice healthy bean. However, if you do have twins, several triplet loss mamas went onto have healthy twins. It will work out. Oh I am just elated to hear you are trying again.

Much love,
Rachel

~Nan~

I am SO excited for you. I know things are going to work out for you and Mike...You are right you have three precious Angels watching over you...I too was nervous about putting 2 embies back, As you know only one took, I have to say in the beginning I was a little upset about that, but am very happy now because the pregnancy is going so well. Rachel and I would agree Cerclage is the way to go even if it is only one...

Good luck!!! Keep us posted...

Oh thank you so much girls! Reading your support and thoughtful words does wonders for me! A little frustrated at the moment as stubborn AF wont show and its been 34 days, and I need her to get to the next step in this process. I think I will check in with the doc as this hasn't happened before. Watch me call and then right after I hang up AF will probably show...!!! Story of our lives, right! xo

Dear Nan, congratulations on trying again, you will be in my prayers so that everything works out...

My MFM had recommended I do a cerclage also, but my ob told me that we would evaluate week by week and since I was pregnant with a singleton this time he did not think it was necessart... It turns out I didnt get a cerclage and my cervix was closed and measuring 4 up until I delivered (37 wks), so it was a good call not to do the cerclage. I guess you and your doctors will make the right choice for your pregnancy.

Lots of Luck!
