We have been very unhappy with Compass bank, and some of their policies. If you are considering switching banks or opening up a new account, don't go with Compass.

what kind of problems?

They don't have an online system, to give up to date info and use any means possible to allow more fees to be charged.They acted like the regional customer service mamnger had to be 'protected at all costs'. What does a customer service manager do, besides deal w/ customer concerns? Our overdraft protection was taken away, because we had to much debt (medical debt !!! that we had no control of) our credit was perfect, and there had never been a problem w/ paying off the entire balance of our overdraft balance regularly. I could go on for a while, but I think I have said enough to get my point accross.

Spent all of Spring Break 1994 finding their errors, so that they would be responsible for their own non-sufficient funds fees.

Yes, it was SIXTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS...

I deposited the money (dozens of checks) into one account and they put it into another account. Knew there was trouble when a check to the local McDonald's bounced. I have a big appetite, but can't do that much damage !!


Feel free to complain about any banking service which isn't worthy of their clients.
