#1145, "Wanted: Advice on Car Seats and Strollers?"

I'm 20 weeks pregnant with triplets and I'm starting to shop for car seats and strollers.

I've got my eye on a Triple Decker Stroller. http://www.doubledeckerstroller.com/products.html

Anyone have suggestions or comments about this stroller? Any suggestions on car seats?

Thanks!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my triple decker. I love that you don't have to buckle the sleeping babies in and out of the carseats, you just snap them into the frame.

My babies are going to be outgrowing their car seats soon and we will probably get another stroller (prob a babytrend triple) once they're out of the car seats instead of hooking up the bike seats on the triple decker every time.

The triple deckers are made to only go with one kind of car seat, either the Evenflo or Graco. If you have a triple decker made for Gracos you can't put Evenflo ccarseats on it. So I'd get your frame first and buy your carseats after. I have the Graco ones and I don't like them as much as I did the Chicco I used with my other kids, but they are fine.

GL!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that there are a couple downsides to the triple decker. The front wheel is fixed, not swivel, so to turn you have to level the front of the stroller up and move it. It drove me nuts at first, but I quickly got used to it. The stroller is surprisingly agile even in a store like Target. And the brake sucks, its just a strap that you wrap through the back wheel and attach on the other side. I hardly ever use the brake though, so it hasn't been too huge a deal. Supposedly my engineer husband was going to fix those things for me, but it hasn't happened yet.

Thanks so much for the info on the triple decker! I just bought one off ebay and I'm really excited, especially after hearing how easy it is to strap the seats in and go!
