#309, "Car seats/Triple Decker"
|
Hi- I'm 31 wks with boy triplets and very excited and anxious but my husband and I are getting a little stressed over the stroller situation. We were originally going to use the Peg right from the beginning but seeing as you can only put 2 car seats we thought the tripple decker would be better at first. However, we've heard and read such awful reviews about the Evenflo car seats that fit on it. ie: they are extremely difficult to get out of the base from the car. Also- how easy do they snap on and off from the tripple decker?, how easy does the TD fold up and into your vehicle? I would greatly appreciate any advice... Thanks, Kass

Kass,
We have had the TD since the girls came home from the NICU, and we love it. It is very easy to get all 3 in and out very quickly, and my wife can easily take all 3 out by herself. We have had no problems with the Evenflo car seats, but the sticking you mention happens when we don't lift up the relase latch far enough - it sort of sticks, and we have to try again. Not a big deal. The seats snap into the stroller very easily, you can really do it without even looking after you get used to it. The girls are almost 13 months now, and I am working on some larger seats to use with the stroller, because we hate to give it up. It folds up and stores very easily in the back of our van. No latches to undo, just 2 collars to slide and it folds up. We have really enjoyed it. By the way, there are several posts on this same subject in the main forum, you can probably find them by searching the archives. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, I think we're going to get the tripple decker- it does seem like the easiest.
