We are looking at getting the tripledecker stroller, which would require Evenflo seats. Evenflo was not on our short list of infant car seats...and I've heard some complaints and problems with them... Can anyone fill us in with the problems? Are they critical? Are they just the seat can catch if something isn't pulled all the way out? And also..of all the Even flo seats, which are the best and what is the difference? Thanks for any help!
Amy

Amy,

We've had the TD stroller since our girls came home from the NICU, and have used the EvenFlo Portabout seats. The girls are over 13 months now, so they've gotten alot of use. We hadn't heard of any problems with the seats before we bought them, and really have not had any issues. I think you might have heard something about them not unlatching easily - if we don't pull on the latch all the way, they will stick when trying to remove them, but all you do is just pull one more time a little harder. It's so minor, I would not even call it a problem if someone didn't mention it. They are pretty easy to use. Of course, we love our TD. It is incredibly easy to use and to fold up. My wife can easily take the babies out by herself with it.
The infant seats have held up pretty well with over a year of use on them, and we go out pretty often - at least several times each weekend, and sometimes during the week, so it has seen alot of use. Good luck!

After alot of searching I just bought 3 of the evenflo majestic. They have a little extra cushioning and loof more comfy. Ofcourse I haven't used them yet ( I have about a month to go. I bout the last 3 from babies r us. They told me it's being discontiued and the new models come out towards the end of November. But if you need them now, I think that Walmart has them on their web site. Check it out.
Good luck

Hi Amy,

We've pretty much decided to get the tripledecker stroller, and hence needed to get the evenflo seats. Evenflo is a fine name in baby products. I bought 3 evenflo discovery seats this week and I think they will be fine. We had a graco with our now 2 year old daughter and though I have to say I do like the graco better, we want to get the tripledecker. I was working on pulling the bucket out of its base at the store and if you pull it straight up it comes out in a cinch. I think it's good that there's only one good way to pull the cars seat out, seems prety safe that way. Just practice before you have sleeping babies in them I bought the discovery because it was on sale. I think the portabout is a bit *nicer* but heck you gotta buy 3 of them!

Good Luck!
