We had 2 conversion vans previous to this. They were very roomy and wonderful when the kids were babies. Now that they are 3 and can get into and out of the minivan themselves, it is great! Also, we have "Montana-vision" (the DVD player)...this makes the long trips worth going on!

My husband has my former vehicle pre-triplets....a 1998 GMC Jimmy. I loved that vehicle! I had to give it up when my belly got to big to fit behind the wheel and then the kids carseats didn't fit in the back seat. He also has his sports car...a 1997 30th anniversary Camaro SS.

Ford Econoline. I didn't want such a big van, but after a couple of road trips...DH was right. Head room, feet room, storage room, and runabout room, no problems!

I would get the captain seats for the middle row next time but other than that, we love it. The back is big enough to fit the Runabout in and it has the dual sliding doors.

does the runsbout fit with all 3 rows of seating, or have you removed one of the rows in order to fir your runabout? also, what year model do you have? we're looking for a van that will let us use the latch system for all 3 seats, but also fit the runabout!

We just bought the dodge grand caravan and love it so far. We have taken one of the captain chairs from the second row out. This gives me easy access to the third row where two of the boys are sitting, the third boy is in the remaining captains seat. When we have three adults and the three babies we put the seat back in (it is heavy though).
The answer to the question if the runabout fits in the car with the third seat would be of intrest to me as well. I have an Inglesia stroller which can be taken apart and fit in the caro section, but the tandem triplet stroller is to large to fit in the cargo section.

Does anyone have a Buick Rendevous?
We were told that your not supposed to put an infant seat in a car that has armrests that fold down. The Rendevous had drop down armrests in the middle seat.
Also wondering if 3 carseats will fit in the backseat.

I read the same thing about the armrest. It sounds like an isolated incident caused this warning. Apparently, Evenflow is the only seatmaker that says this. I did some research and found the following from Safe Ride News 1999:

Q. I hear that some child restraintsshould not be used on a vehicle seatthat has a fold-down armrest? What'sthe problem?

A.This instruction is related only to rear-fac-ing seats from Evenflo. It apparently isbased on one case some years ago in whichan armrest in an unidentified vehiclecaused injury when it flopped down in aCanadian crash. No other manufacturerincludes such a warning on its products. The vehicle manufacturers

Technicians can suggest that con-cerned parents check the vehicle instruc-tions to see if there is any warning againstuse of a rear-facing restraint in the centerposition with an armrest. Explain the po-tential concern of Evenflo and also tellthem that in general the center of the backseat is well documented as the safest posi-tion in a vehicle during a crash. Let par-ents decide where to install their baby'srestraint after you have given them com-plete information.

Very interesting question. I am a mom of three allready and the triplets are due in May. I am in need of a vehicle that can hold 4 carseats. We are leaning toward a Suburban or a Astro van.
