#620, "new quad stroller"
|
Hi. I am 31 weeks with G/G/B and I am also the proud mommy to a 3 year old. DH and I have been looking at the quad strollers (new and used) out there. We definately want the quad since our son still rides in the stroller at times, and the other times I figure I would have extra cargo space. I keep seeing these new "commercial quality" quad strollers, and wonder if anyone has purchased one and how they like it? Below is a link to a picture of what I am talking about. Any input would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Tracy

Hey Tracy,
Who makes that stroller? It looks nice. I have a runabout triple and love it. Have you considered the runabout quad? One went for only $260 recently on eBay!

I've seen the RA quad. I really want something that's going to fit in the back of the mini van. We are a very on the go family and plan on staying that way, once we get our footing with our three soon-to-be's. I am not sure who makes it, but it's all over the internet and has been for months.

Hi, I'm not sure if you are still looking at these or not, but I thought I would put my 2 cents in. We have a very similar stroller, but not the same manufacturer. Ours is basically the same size and we have had it for over a year now. Initially I liked it, but the longer we have it, the less I like it. It truly only fits through double door openings or wide handicapped doorways. Any single frame door way, like a doctors office, is too narrow. Also, it is quite heavy to lift and to push. I know this is true of any quad, but the size of the wheels I think makes it even harder, moreso as the babies get bigger. If I had it to do over again, I would try harder for a used RA. Hope this helps. Jennifer Mom to Jillian born 09/07/2001 spontaneous g/g/g triplets born 04/12/2004 at 35.5 weeks

Pros: *It is cheap. *The back seats fully recline and the front seats do as well but baby must have some weight on them to hold it back. My partner and I tied it with a rope. * It fits in the back of our Dodge Carvan and nothing has to be removed to make it fir. *It is easy to steer. *It fits through most doorways
Cons *It is very hard to close. *The parking brake was cumbersome and we had to remove it. *It is a bit heavy to lift *It doesn't have cup holders.
Overall, I like it a lot. I didn't want a Roundabout and I found this to be a great alternative. It is nice to get out of the house. Did you buy it? What do you think? Melissa from NJ Partner to Camille Mommy to: John 10/26/03 Dominick,Anthony and Gianna 8/26/05 www.mdherbal.com

I have seen this mall on DayCareMall.com, for 399.95, says it's in stock and they have free shipping. When I originally inquired they said anyone could purchase from them, you didn't have to own a daycare. Here's the link:
