#757, "Triplet Strollers Review"

I am a mom to triplets (GBB - 12 months old)and I would like to share my experience with triplet strollers. My first stroller was the Triple Decker with Graco car seats. LOVED it but my kids grew out of the car-seat regulated size/weight max too soon so we had to sell it. My next was the Peg Perego Triplette. Loved the comfy seats that recline and can face either front or back, that it fits through narrow doorways, and is easy to dissasemble and fit in the back of my minivan. Hated that it became too hard to steer, go over rough terrain and bumps, and push uphill once my kids reached 25lbs each. So we began to consider the Runabout inline stroller. But I really really really don't like the way it looks not to mention it's size wouldn't fit in my minivan so we would have to get the hitch

After much research I found the Valco Runabout Twin which has an optional toddler seat that hooks on in the front. I ABSOLUTELY love it! It is super easy to steer since it has 4 wheels and the two front swivel or lock (to jog). It folds down compact with the toddler seat attached. It comes with it's own pump, lots of storage compartments, and is a great ride for the kids. The front kid thinks he's king/queen for the day! (we rotate the front kid) And since the toddler seat is removable you can always take this stroller as a twin plus a single when you are with another person and want to go separate ways. And the best part.......it's an awesome looking stroller! I really really really like the way it looks!

Ok here are the bad parts to it (triplet strollers are never perfect). It's a bit heavy to lift into your car, though not impossible. It doesn't come with parent tray or cupholders (but I bought two and attached them to the handle - they work great) The front kid cannot recline and nap (so it's not meant for infants who cannot sit upright for very long.) It isn't going to fit through standard house-sized doorways (it's twin size width) but so far I have had no problem getting it into stores and buildings. It can get pricey: Twin Stroller $550, toddler seat $99, toddler seat canopy $40. And this stroller is hard to find. I doubt anyone can get one used at this point since they only came to the States from Australia I think last year. The 2006 models are coming out in September so maybe then they wont be so difficult to find.

OVERALL: This is a GREAT stroller! Please feel free to email me if you want more info on it.
