#800, "Valco Question"

I have 15 month old twins and I am expecting another baby in June. My question is about the Valco Runabout Twin. I am looking at the toddler seat attachment, or possibly the carseat attachment to accomidate all three little ones. Do any of you have any experience with either (good or bad). I have never seen this stroller, so I don't know which way it would work the best. Thanks!

I actually ordered the 2006 Valco Twin Runabout with the toddler seat- making it a three seater. By the time the order was filled I got a three seater choo choo wagon, so I cancelled my stroller. Given the difference in price ($800 versus $188???) I have heard that once the babies are toddling they will prefer the individual cars on the wagon over a stroller. We are making do and pocketing the $650.

Good luck with your decision- until the wagon arrived I was soooo excited about the Valco. I have heard great things!

I do have the Valco Baby twin plus toddler seat. I absolutely LOVE it and highly recommend it. Like the previous mom, I too have the choo choo wagon. They don't compare. In my opinion, both are awesome for different reasons. You will probably be better off with the valco though, because there is no way to put a newborn in the wagon. Best of luck and congrats on your pregnancy.

ps. additional pics of the stroller are on the webpage listed below.

We are considering purchasing the Valco Twin w/ Toddler Seat but question whether it will fit into the well of our mini-van (Grand Caravan). Any thoughts??

It fits easily in the back of my Town & Country Minivan. I am not sure what the measurements are for yours but I know of another mom who has a Toyota and it fits in the back of hers as well. No need to remove the toddler seat or even the wheels. Just fold it and off you go.

Can anyone share the measurements once the double Valco with toddler seat is folded so I can make sure it would fit in my car?

Hi Michelle,

I was out there measuring my stroller and realized that I have the 2005 model. The newer models might be a little different so I just went online to www.valcobaby.com and got these dimensions. I am sure they are more accurate than mine:

Runabout Tri-Mode Twin Open 28"W x 37"L
Handle Adjusts from 30"H to 41.5"H
Runabout Tri-Mode Twin Folded 28"W x 29"L x 18"H
Folded wheels removed 27"W x 26"L x 16"H
Seat Width 11"
Seat Depth 7"
Backrest Height 30"
Footrest Length 14"
Height from Seat to Hood 36"
Maximum passenger weight (per seat) 45 lbs
Overall stroller weight 33 lbs

Thank you so much... I did also find some more details and love hte idea of this stroller. Thanks so much for sharing.

I did have one more question for you though?

How old were your trips when you were able to place one in the toddler seat?

Can you still use rain sheilds, sun shades or bug shields with the toddler seat?
