#840, "11 passenger conversion van?"

I am not a parent of multiples but I am expecting my 7th in a few weeks. I repeatedly typed in search engine requests about conversion vans and this site kept coming up...so I'm sorry for invading but it looks like you all might be the best informed about this. I can't find any sites about conversion vans with as many seats as I need. Can anyone direct me to a site that has non-handicap conversion vans with atleast 11 seats? Thanks so much.

Interesting question. We used to have a conversion van, then bought a 12 passenger van. Its not "conversion" but to be honest, I'm fine with that. Less to break (i.e. all the electrical etc in a conversion). We do have a DVD player and a cd player and that seems to be all we need with the kids LOL.

Not sure if that helps, but good luck with your search!

I just bought a used Turtle Top Van Terra. It's shorter than an extended 15 passenger van, and just a few inches wider. It seats 14 and has all of the bells and whistles of a conversion van. The interior is 5 feet 10 inches tall and it conforms to federal rollover crash standards for school buses.

If you don't mind the stigma of being "that family that owns the bus" it's your best bet. Installing car seats are a breeze (it uses transit bus seating and can be customized with Freedman brand seats) The only downside is the price ~$50k new. They are extremely hard to find used (it took me 6 months to find one at a good price).
