#842, "Help registering for triplets"
|
Hi,
We're expecting triplets in the spring, and I'm being urged by numerous friends and family to register for supplies and equipment. Does anybody know where I could find a good, practical sample of what to register for with triplets?
Thanks, Jen Happy Mama of 1 Toddler Boy and Triplet Girls-to-be

If you run a search on the main forum you will find a lot of posts about registering and what people found useful. Good luck.

i have not seen a really useful list- i can start you off with following: around 30 bottles and a couple leakproof pitchers for the formula- this means u can mix and fill 1x a day for all babies. 2 bottle warmers. longsleeve onesies 0-3mth work from birth to about 4 months. 30 all white burp cloths-bleachable. also get that rubberized fabric that is used for changing pads from the fabric store- its pricey but way better and more practical than crib sheets.- if you can affford it measure enough for 10 the length of the crib and few more for your changing area. 10 0-6 mthpacifiers sam's club wipes member's mark are the cheapest and best we've found-cd clockradios with nature cd's are better than baby sound machines for the same cost....the biggies to register for are the infant carriers and the regular carseats they need when they outgrow them..pack and plays are great too- my kids sleep better apart-not the romantic scenarios about multiples iread before i had mine they were actually 5lb at birth and way too big to cosleep. on ebay you can find a triplet stroller for 400 by sylvan company way cheaper than the mount. brand...10 plastic wipe off bibs that are machine wahsable too and some pelican bibs. keep all reciepts in a box for the gifts you get-they are hard to keep track of and you won't use everything you just are in a blur thhe first 5 mths-stefanie mom of emma-5yrs blake, evelyn, jack 14mths

And when you do register, don't register for 3 of everything.
There are a few things you will need 3 of like Swings. (Pretty much anything that could possibly assist with sleeping is an obvious triple registry entry.)
But for stuff like saucers, toys, and other stuff for them, Only get one or at most two. If all 3 of them like a particular item, then consider purchasing more.
And I would higly recommend at least 3 Miracle Blankets. Pricey, but oh, so effective for getting them to sleep. I don't know how I would have survived without it.
