Maryann:
Thank you so very much!
I want for everyone to know that Maryann does simply amazing work. She is patient and easy-going with multiples, and she is able to get them involved in fun ways. She has such an eye for things, and her portraits never cease to amaze me. She's also reasonably priced and nice to work with. Oh, and my children adore mixing it up with her kiddos before and/or after!!
Thank you so much for posting these for me. I am simply delighted with them.
And, any thoughts as to which one I should turn into my "belated Christmas card" for this year??
Thank you, again, Maryann!
Love, Cat w/3 Kittens Caidan, Carina and Caeleigh Born at 31 weeks, 1/8/04.

Amazing photos of your gorgeous kids !!!! I like both photos very much but would probably choose the 1st one since the cards are for after Christmas and the first one isn't so Chritmas"y" I really hope some day SOON we can meet you and your kids in person ! My kids still talk about that amazing lady named Cat who knew just what we needed because she was such a good person Lorraine

Okay. I'm finally ready to send out my...uh, er, Christmas(?) cards...?
Anyway, these are the words I'm considering and I'd like other suggestions and/or input. I've decided to go with the Santa hats picture with the tree -- seems like everyone agrees on that one!
So, my favorite idea is:
Love and joy come to you... And God bless you, and send you A Happy New Year...
My only real concern here is that this is from the Wassailing Song which could be seen as a drinking song. It has also become synonymous with Christmas caroling, but...oh bother!
Also considering:
...behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Luke 2:10
For a strange twist of humor:
Yea, brother, let me have JOY of thee in the Lord... Philemon 1:20
(Not seriously considering the above, but got a giggle out of it...)
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 1:4
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14 or John 14:27
EDITED TO ADD: OOPS!!! Used that with the Christmas card from 2006. That will never work!!
Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope...Romans 15:13
Any other ideas?
Traditionally, our Christmas cards have included a scripture as the verse for the photo. But, I really like the first idea as it brings in the new year theme and kind of off-sets the fact that this is going out so late...

I like the first one and the first photo too. I LOVE close-up shots and think that since it is past Christmas it is a little less dated than the second one.
Gorgeous kids BTW. I love seeing them grow up.

I love the your first wording with the New Year's twist. It's perfect. And I'd definitely use the first photo; I think it's gorgeous and more unique and 'everlasting' than the Christmas theme one.
I've gotten several cards since Christmas, so don't feel bad. It's actually kind of fun having it drag out a little bit!

***Love and joy come to you... And God bless you, and send you A Happy New Year...***
I like these words, I wouldn't worry about the drinking song aspect as hardly anyone would ever think of that IMO.
If you still would like a verse, how about one to go with these words? I'm thinking of this one (just looked it up to get it right):
The Lord bless you, and keep you; The Lord make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace
It's from Numbers 6: 22-27.
I think they work very well together and would be beautiful as well as not too Christmas-y.
I like both pictures, so maybe just decide if you want the Christmas hats or not? BUT - I think the hug is a very sweet part of that picture. On second thought, I like it better for that reason. Kari S.

Thank you, everyone, for your help. I really like the quote from Numbers, and I also agree with Megan's comment regarding the need for the second line in there.
I'll see if I can't figure out how to post the actual card that gets sent out -- hopefully soon...
