#1045, "Wow, a fathers forum"
|
You can't imagine how excited I was when I saw that. Don't get me wrong I love my wife, but with all the stress of having four new mouths on the way I'm looking forward to having a place to talk to some other guys about all this. It's kinda funny, but I found a joke that really goes along with how I've been feeling as of late and I thought you guys might get a kick out of it.
Husband Shopping Center
A Husband Shopping Center has opened in Atlanta where a woman can go to choose from among many men to be her husband. It is laid out in five floors with the men increasing in positive attributes as you ascend. However, there is a catch. You're only allowed in once. Once you open the door to any floor you must choose a man from that floor. If you go up a floor you can't go back down except to exit the building. So, a woman goes to the shopping center to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door says: Floor 1: These men have jobs and love kids. The woman reads the sign. "Well, that's better than not having jobs, or not loving kids, but I wonder what's further up?" So up she goes.
The second floor sign says: Floor 2: These men have high-paying jobs, love kids, and are extremely good-looking. "Hmmm, better," says the woman. "But I wonder what's further up?" The third floor sign reads: Floor 3: These men have high-paying jobs, love kids, are extremely good-looking, and help with the housework. "Wow," says the woman, "very tempting. BUT, there's more further up!" And so again, she goes up. On the fourth floor the sign reads: Floor 4: These men have high-paying jobs, love kids, are extremely good-looking, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak "Oh, mercy me." (That's how women talk in Georgia) "But just think, that must be awaiting me further up?" So up to the fifth floor she goes. The sign on that door says: Floor 5: This floor is just to prove that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping. Have a nice day!
Like I said before I'm really happy to be here, and I hope you liked the joke. See ya.

Richy,
Just to warn you, posts like that might get some "reaction" even if it is here on the Father Forum....it is funny though.
Welcome to the board.

But more important is your wife,... hope she can hang onto them for a long time... that they may be well, healthy, strong... a short hospital stay, etc

Richy,
Welcome to the group. Having 4 at the same time can be quite a challenge but we have survived for 5 years so it can be done.
By the way…. Do you want to buy a Quad Runabout?

I, too, was excited when I found this forum. And it's always a good ice breaker to start off with a joke.
Welcome and good luck.

Thanks for the laugh...ain't it the truth!
Congrats on the upcoming foursome!
There was stuff posted in this forum a while back about another site for men...but I lost interest in it. I can talk to enough men IRL (in real life) that I don't need to do that on-line...but there are not many one meets IRL that have the unique situation of expecting and/or having multiples.
My three boys are 6 yrs old now...so I have been thru much of what happens early on...remembering it all is a different story! One gets so wrapped up in the Now, that what happened when the boys were two, for example, dims out of one's memory. I should have kept notes, but who had the time!
Congrats again!
