#1077, "Just got the news..."
|
Hello everybody.
I just got the news that my firstborn is going to be a set of triplets. I do not have any other kids and, since my sister cannot have kids, I have no experience with babies whatsoever. Obviously, that is about to change!
After the initial scare I have been searching the web for information on triplets, and found that a bunch of couples has gone succesfully through the process. That gave me a big moral boost, and now I am looking forward to this big challenge. (Hey! I even found a page that gives a list of the items that I must have ready by the time of delivery and another one that lists the things to fix at the house to avoid any problem with the babies!)
There is one question that I stil have, though. How I am suppose to have those special "romantic times" alone with my wife and away of the kids? It is still possible? Or I just have to forget about them for the next couple of decades?
Greetings to everyone out there!

If it is important, you make it happen. It just takes a lot more planning.
Enjoy it. Trips are the best

Congrats,
I have 4yo BBB and all I can see is it a tremendous amount of work, sweat, and energy and I wouldn't change it for anything. It is fantastic. Every day with them is truly a gift!
As far as you and the misses goes, any free time is as good as any. The problem won't be time. It will be if you have enough energy or would you rather SLEEP. Just love her every minute and the rest will work itself out.

Hope you don't have to forget the romantic times for the next few years. I have the same question. I'm a first time father with ya. First children on either side of the family and I get triplets! What a shocker! Hope you find an answer about those special "romantic" times with the wife.

Paulo, Congrats x 3!
As to the romantic times, have you ever seen those families with lots of kids? You'll find time. Once you are sleeping more than 3-4 hours a night that is...
I sent you an email, let me know if you don't receive it.

Just joined the forum and saw your post. I found out that we're expecting triplets in September. Man, I'm freaked. But I would love get the address of that site you found that lists all the stuff I should have ready for the trip to the hospital.
I guess by now you've had your kids, eh?
