Just curious who is still stoping in here. I was going through the older roll-calls on the fathers forum here and realized that many of the fathers that used to come around have been absent for quite some time.

My gang is looking forward to Christmas. At 3years old, they are really starting to "get it" and are very excited. They know "Santa" is coming and point him out every time they see him now. They're also excited about going to the Christmas Eve service at church; they're having a service geared for the kids.

Anyone here? What's going on with your crew?

Hey JW.

I still stop in here every now and then to take a look. I have not posted much at all in over a year now though. I am planning on trying to make a committment to getting back involved on this board to reach some of the new dads or ones that just don't post because there is no activity on this board.

My crew is really excited about Christmas this year. They seem to understand what it is all about and we have promised to have 'happy cake' (any form of cake is happy cake) for Jesus' birthday. They are excited about that.

It's funny the names the kids have given to certain things.

The diaper cream is now "tickle cream"
My car is the "clown car"

Even better is how they repeat things they hear and how the words get jumbled. We started saying prayers with them at bedtime and they each learned them very quickly. But some of the words still don't come out as intended. "Our Father Who art in heaven" is now "Our Father has art in heaven". Too cute.

I know you've lost day-time access to F2F, but are you still in touch with anyone who we haven't seen there lately? I was wondering about Koz, 3horns, quadfather, and others....

I know what you mean about what they say. Our doctor is Dr. Dickerson and they call her Dr. Dickerdocker. We being the bad influence that we are call her that too now.

Yes, I have lost access to F2F during the day. I don't know what to do with my free time now.

I talk to 3horns every now and then but not for a while now. Just sent an email though.

I have not heard from Koz or the Quadfather in a while though.

The older 2, particularly Dan, love to teach them new phrases. Some are OK, but others....

I was putting their shoes on the other day and asked them each to go and get their shoes, Zachary replies "Dan calls them kicks!" and refused to get them until I called them kicks. I wanted to teach Dan the proper use of "kick" right about then.

Seen any decent movies lately? DW and I went to the movies last weekend and watched "Saw". Not bad for a psychological thriller kind of thing, but it wouldn't have been my first choice. Come to think of it, the only other times I've been to the movies in the last 3 1/2 years was to see "Harry Potter" and "The Passion". Well, that is one way to save money though....

We have not been to a movie in a long while. I can't wait for "Meet the Fockers." I was a huge fan of the first one.

We are hooked on Alias (the TV series) and have watched all three season in just 3 months (DVDs).

Cna't say we watched that one, but we have the first 2 seasons of ER.

I'm going to have to get this season's DVD of Lost when it comes out. I enjoy the show, but at 8:00, we're still working on getting dinner together after getting the young ones in bed and cleaning up.

Watched a few episodes of "24" may have to look into gttingthose DVD's at some time.

Lost is great! We are hooked. Thank God for DVRs. We get to watch it at about 10pm on Wednesday nights thanks to that.

So is the pregnant girl really getting messed with or is that all in her head? I got chills when they figured out one of the guys with them was not on the plane....he's freaky!

With Alias coming on after Lost this Jan. you should give it a look. If you like 24, I think you would like Alias.

Yeah, Ethan wasn't on the flight. Kinda freaky. So wouldn't he have been glad to see others if he had been strnaded for so long? Can't wait for next weeks episode.

Yeah, this show really interests me because I keep asking myself, HOW can they carry this out over an entire season, and how can they make it last through more than one season? But each week, something really new happens that makes you go WOW! Where did that come from? They are doing a really good job with it IMO.

The wife keeps saying it's great on gas and it's paid for. The older kids won't be caught dead in it, unless of course their cars aren't working, then it's OK to just borrow it. I got to show them where the gas cap is and how to operate a gas pump. Wonder how they get gas in their cars?????

We were outside playing on Sunday afternoon and they were walking around my car asking what the different parts were. When they got to the name on the trunk lid, they were so cute "What is it Daddy?" I told them it was the name of the car. Jillian comes back with "It says Clown Car". This was before Aidan gave the anatomey lesson to the new neighbors.
