I know there are a few who look in on this forum and I just want to share with anyone who might peek in here what I did today.

It is no big deal, many dads have done it, or will do it. But I coached my first "game" today. I am the coach of the Lafayette Lions Fifth grade basketball team, and we had a practice game against another school. It was great...and a bit nerve-racking! My 3 boys are on the team -- and they know just about nothing about the game (along with most of our other players.) We have had only one practice, so it is a bit chaotic, to say the least. But everyone had fun, I see some effort out there on the court. We actually scored a basket, too!

We have two games a week, but no real time to practice. Monday, after our one and only practice, I was wondering what in the world I had gotten myself into...I am still wondering, but not as worried about it now. I am in for the ride of my life!
