We had three games today...Alex's team had two -- one of which was a make-up game for one rained out.

All the boys did well. Calder played first base and did a great job there. He also slammed one over the left fielder's head and made it home after a bad throw to third base. Alex made it to first a couple times hitting grounders to the infield, and Bryce did the same once.

Dw missed the games -- she is down south at a conference for the week-end. Only another week of games...kinda too bad as the boys are finally getting the hang of the game (their first year, even tho they are 12). We'll see if they are interested in Babe Ruth league next year -- much more competitive!

We had a good camping trip down the coast last week-end. We hit some good minus-tides so we got to do some tide pool explorations.

Hope everyone's weekend is going smoothly!

Thanks for the reminders of what one has to look forward to, and that diapers and bottles and the all-nighters do indeed come to an end.

The boys must have had a great day with baseball, sounds like all three have really gotten the hang of the sport. And you're so right, the Babe Ruth league is a whole different ballgame (literally).

And the camping sounds great as well! Seeing how our boys have already begun developing at five weeks, I'm certain we'll have plenty of camping and events away from home to allow their mom to maintain her sanity!

Was nice to read about a great weekend, Vaughn!

When my boys were two, me and another dad (with twin 2 year old boys...born within a couple weeks of our guys) went camping at a local beach (about 50 miles away, including 8 miles of dirt road). We left the little ladies at home, so it was just the two of us and five two-year olds...it was a blast! A real guy-trip! So much fun watching the five guys explore! Marshmellows over the fire, not worrying about a little dirt, and all that fun stuff!

The time will seem to move like a snail at light speed. Enjoy it all, because the various stages will be intense with the multiplication factor, but they'll also pass quickly and the kiddos will be onto the next stage just as you get the hang of the old one!
