Hey triplet dads. My wife already announced on the main board last week.

But I wanted to announce to you our BBB who arrived September 26th at 35 weeks 1 day.
Drew 5# 4oz 11:44
Max 4# 14oz 11:45
Sam 5# 1oz 11:46

Everyone's doing great. The boys and mom came home yesterday. Mom had to be readmitted with a PE, cardiomyopothy, and congestive heart failure, got that taken care of and she's doing much better.

I'm looking for ways to thank the AWESOME staff that helped take care of my wife and boys. Any ideas? cookies, fruit, and flowers just don't seem like enough....

thanks,

Colin

Congrats, to your whole family, Colin! And very glad to hear that the new mom is doing better...man, that must have been tough on you, too!

No immediate suggestions, but I would suggest a photo of the boys -- perhaps as a card in the near future and perhaps a visit back to the nurses, etc in a few months or so. The staff like to see their charges doing well.

Well, now the real fun begins! Exhausting, but in a way, still fun (at least from the perspective of 12 years down the line!)

Hi Colin.... Great job for your wife getting past 35 weeks. That's absolutely awesome!

I made a huge home-made chocolate cake with fudge icing for the staff at our hospital. We are in south France, and they'd never been treated to an American style chocolate cake like that before (the cakes here are quite heavy, and no icing). It was very much appreciated by the staff.

Like Vaughn said, a nice card and photos, especially now that the boys are home and settled in, would be something the staff would probably really like.

Congrats again!

My family has had quite a bit of hospital time over the last few years. I'll tell you that home made baked goods work. We have taken "thank you" cupcakes more than once and they never last more than about 10 minutes, hospital staffers are like vultures. Also, on a more personal level, i don't know if your OB is a man or a woman, but some nice quality cigars are always appreciated.
