It may not take until the second week to get the desired results -- and it won't make any difference what time of day you ask, LOL! It is really a crazy period -- we had feedings every two hours...that is you start a feeding every two hours. It might take an hour to an hour and a half to finish a feeding, drop off to sleep for 30 minutes or so, then start all over again.
Sitting in bed in the early morning hours, bottle feeding two babies (one at a time) while their mother nursed one while lying on her side asleep. I developed a big case of breast envy after a couple weeks of this!
But what made it survivable was that for that first month we were at my sister's place, so we had no jobs nor all those other home related responcibilities for that month. And since there was help during the day, both me and the boys' mom could catch a nap during the day. As hard as it was, we had it pretty easy! Got a little more intense after we got home and were on our own. But then it got a little easier as the feedings started to spread out -- and of course when the boys all slept through the nights.
But that first few months were a bit tiring. It got to where I was using red lights to have a chance to close my eyes and hover on napping. I got to where I could bottle feed all three boys at once and eventually the boys got to where they could hold their own bottles.
So it does get easier, and if not quite easier, than at least different as one hits a new stage of the kids' development. Well, I ended up writing much more than I intended.
Good luck!

We just had to back down to 2hr feeds too. We have two that are refluxy...
Megan is home with Grandma during the day so that helps, then when I get home I have about 4 hours I can help with before I have to get to bed.
It is really crazy right now...I keep telling myself this phase won't last...we will sleep normally again one day...just not soon. This phase definitely ends -- and then the next phase starts! It will get a little easier -- when the babes sleep through the night is wonderful. But after that it never really gets easier -- just different. Which is enough to keep you sane -- tired, but sane...sort of.
Not too many other people understand what we go through, nor do they understand the concept of napping at red lights. One has to experience it!
Our boys slept in the crib with a slanted board under the mattress to keep their heads a little higher -- to help with the reflux (all three).
We also had old cloth diapers everywhere. If we picked up a babe, the cloth went over the shoulder first and one nearby as the emergency back-up. A lot of spitting up! I don't know if it was connected to their flux, but man, you never left yourself unprotected!!!

I would say that you probably won't have to worry about the "NO sex beforehand" if you only wait until 2 weeks after being home. We tried, but it took like 9 months, at least, until she was really ready.
So, you have some time. But get some condoms just in case, wouldn't want to miss a chance, you know.
As far as understanding her resistance. We were constantly asked if we were having more, or just told "this is it for kids then right?" we always responded that we weren't sure. My wife's thought process, which showed in her response, was that even though we had the three it was like only having one because they were triplets. Yeah, we did every thing three times, but all at once. While she didn't want to be having more very soon, she was thinking that she wanted a "second round." I hope that helps you understand her side a little. For the record I'm with you.
FYI: they can "take care" of her while they are in there if she has a c-section. Just be sure to decide on that before labor starts.

Nah, boys are no problem -- just be ready to cover them up fast -- something about being exposed to the air sets off the fountain!
