#271, "It finally happened..."

My kids have reached that critical height. You know that height at which the family jewels are no longer safe from misdirected toys, kids running full speed to give you a hug.
My son took me down yesterday with a watering can he thrust in my direction - wanting it filled with water. You know how it goes, instant feeling of pain, nausea, light headedness. I now find myself turning sideways when they approach.
I'm praying the kids quickly grow a couple of inches!

I laugh in pain at your suffering. I feel for you. I have had frequent encounters where I am lying on the floor and one of them will toss a toy and it ALWAYS seems to lend in just the wrong spot. Last week we had our Early Childhood Intervention girl over working with the boys and one of them tossed a toy and took my down. She tried not to laugh but she couldn't contain it.
What is really bad is the one that usually does it, enjoys seeing daddy rolling on the floor and letting out a quick "doh!" So he tries to do it again.....very bad!

Justin:
I'm in my cube at work laughing. Sorry. I noticed my son is starting to jump on me with both knees bent like loaded weapons.
I know it's a matter of time. How scary is that?
Mike.

I was joking with my wife this past weekend that I should start wearing a cup when playing with the wee ones. I feel your pain.

After it happened, the kids wanted to know what was wrong with daddy. Susan told them I had an owie. So, I was laying back on the recliner with the kids kissing my arm because that is where I told them my "owie" was.

I am trying to figure out why our three boys always manage to hit that target but have such poor aim when they use the toilet.
